i ask you to consider this scenario:.
a devoutly born-again christian man, who strives to live every facet of his life in accordance with what is written in the gospels, spends all of his time helping the poor, reading his bible cover-to-cover, living an austere life and genuinely feels that his life is motivated by his love of christ.
a real christian in practice, both public and private.
I actually heard a comment from a brother a couple years ago that his CO brother in law suggested that the WTS is leaning toward the idea that good hearted non-JW's could possibly survive Armageddon based on their heart condition. That we can't judge anyone since they may in fact be spared by Jehovah
I was surprised to hear that but I knew the CO personally and that is why is Bro in law told me.

the WTS wasn't anywhere near "truth" as they define it today, but of course they couldn't be until after they would become the faithful slave since they would not have had holy spirit. They could only have been chosen by their heart condition since they could never have truth

any JW could dance circles around these types of questions. The BOrg uses these same sweeping statements like "heart condition" to brush aside questioning for everything and anything

they are not "lying", they are talking about 2 different things. But they know what they are doing.
Outsiders understand what shunning is but they don't typically understand disfellowshipping. The WTS knows this and makes the first statetment to non-JW's about inactive ones while making the latter to JW's about disfellowshipped ones.
to the outsider, they will assume these are the same thing when as we all know they are light years apart in the JW world

videos with resurected dead loved ones quickly appeal to emotion. It is the only card the WTS is playing now. Facts and science are 100% against them and they know. Information to refute their claims is available at a click.
grab hold of someones heart strings and logic goes out the window. that is exactly how the WTS converts people.... by throwing logic out the window
in my area the general sense is bleak.
many are in survival mode.
even at the convention the appearance of the majority was unhappy and tired.
I find that most just don't give all these changesuch thought
if guess the vast majority are in for the freindship and family, not for the "truth" about overlapping generations and 1914 or a wensite
when I hang out with JWs were all just having a good time, no one ever talks about "theocratic" stuff because nobody seems to really care

i just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.
also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.
i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

today, thanks to a brave do and my colleague elkatire 1980, we make make public the manual, guidelines for traveling overseers (tga-s), of which existence many suspected, but even in english, it wasnt available.. from its very title page, this book indicates in bold letters:.

i find the new song book a real sleeper. vast majority are somber, mono-tone, boring. where's the "WE'RE JEVOVAH'S WITNESSES!!" and the good ol' victory song?? (CHIPMUNK VOICE) but the bible gives US a reason for cheer....
