Sounds brilliant! We have lots of hols in the Pyrenees (french side) in the summer and you're right about the scenery, it's stunning. So peaceful too, great slow pace of life. Not actually been to Andorra though I imagine it's not too different from the rest of the Pyrenees. Hope you find what you're looking for!

Contemplating a Major Life Change.
by Joe Grundy innever was a jw, but been here long enough to have made some friends and respect opinions.. retired in 2004, lived in cyprus 2005-2010. back here in wales since then.. just back from a holiday in france (most recent of many).
love the country, the lifestyle, can get by in the language.. just seen an advert for a country estate (british-owned) they want someone to live on site, do a bit of handyman stuff, etc., look after (mainly brit) holiday visitors in return for zero rent (only utitlties).
family would be abe to come and stay for free.

I find an antihistamine pill makes me sleep, only trouble is I can't wake up in the morning!
Another thing I've tried is acupressure. Just under the ankle bone is a pressure point on each side (in the dip below the bone). Press firmly on each side at the same time for 60 seconds while breathing slowly and deeply and relax your muscles then do the same with the other ankle. I have no idea why or how it works (for me) but it does, every time!

Interesting that the article on propaganda was written in 1980. The same time Ray Franz was being ousted. Who knows if that wasn't written by someone who had woken up to it all and was trying to subtely warn others.

Although I believe in God and the bible etc. I think all this speculation is pretty pointless. As Searcher said Jesus told us we wouldn't know the day or hour.
Personally I've had enough of the WTS speculating about this sort of thing and getting it all wrong. How do we know that Daniel wasn't applying this prophecy to 70AD?
Why don't you get out and enjoy life now while it's still pretty peaceful? There'll be time enough to worry about things if things start getting bad (as they have in other countries). Why spend your life worrying about what might or might not happen in your lifetime? You may be dead long before anything bad happens and you'll have wasted all that time! Get out and enjoy life!!

Yes, I read that a bill was introduced into Congress for a mandatory week's paid leave back in May but nothing's been done yet. Apparently it leaves an eigth of the US workforce with no paid holidays at all!

Can anyone disprove 607 BCE date using only the NWT and WT literature?
by Bart Belteshassur ini haven't come across any arguement that does not involve secular history and external references.
in fact the wt can not get to 607 bce without using external sources as in knowing that they need to get back from 1914 ce to 607 bce, and botching an argument using an external date as reference to create their start point at 537 bce.. i realize that to get the final date we must provide a fixed figure from somewhere which can only be a historical source, but the objective would be to disprove the wt flim flam.
once that is achieve we can use which ever fixed historical point they wish to chose.

This is a great video on the subject. Easy to understand and easy to show JWs. he uses ONLY JW publications and the bible to prove it was 587BCE and not 607BCE.

I was surprised to read that the US has no minimum statutory paid leave. In the EU the minimum is 20 days annually. Some countries give much more. (In the UK it's 28).
I realise that employers of good companies will grant paid leave, some maybe generously but what about the workers in companies that don't? Surely this is like being in an under developed country not one that claims to be a superior democracy!
How much paid leave do you get in your country? Or how good is your company (if you work for one) in giving paid leave?

He's good, I've been watching his videos for a while now, still have a few to go. He made me smile when he did the one 'False Prophet and False Teacher' (18)
He takes a quote from the reasoning book on how to answer "I'm sure you'll agree that specific evidence should back up such a serious charge. (that of being a false prophet) Did your minister mention any specific example?"
He goes on to say... "I salivate at the thought of a Jehovah's Witness saying that to me! Man! Would I love it!"
I can imagine he'd quickly tie them in knots! LOL
Great series!

The Circuit Overseer Visit
by garyneal inlast week, the circuit overseer came to visit my wifes congregation and as usual their patterns change somewhat during this week.
from my perspective, the meetings are held on tuesday and thursday instead of the normal wednesday night during this week and they are more eager to go out in field service.
sunday came and my wife wanted us to attend the meeting.

The NGO thing is untenable. They went into it KNOWING it was wrong. They knew they had to publicize the UN, as an NGO, which they did in the Awake mag. Then they only left it once they got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and outed in the Guardian paper.

More JW bragging about the Landover, MD. convention. Please have barf bag at the ready before reading
by AndDontCallMeShirley inthe following e-mail is circulating among jws about the international convention at fedex stadium in landover, md.
note the all-too-familiar jw claims: everything they do (including the simple act of parking cars) is proof of jehovah'stm blessing, and everything wt did at the convention was the fastest, greatest, best ever.
oh, and the never-fails-to-get-mentioned alleged 'persecution'/resistance from some unnamed authority who tried to get in watchtower's way and hamper the effort...but jws prevailed anyway (as always):.

So God was one day late for the convention? He missed Friday and only got there for Saturday and Sunday? Even then, he arrived late.....
