by cofty ini just wanted to put links to my watchtower threads all in the same place for my own benefit and future reference.. i wrote these 4 articles almost 20 years ago just after i left the watchtower and before i had encountered any ex-jw books or websites.
they were all based on original research of old wt publications and the nwt bible.. my explanation of why they got it wrong about blood using only the nwt.... i still think this line of reasoning is devastating to the blood doctrine.
i have yet to hear a rational response.. the gospel contrasted with the watchtower doctrine of the ransom.... i wrote this when i was an uber-evangelical.

Watcher says "unless Jehovah tells me otherwise" .... this is JW speak for "unless the WT organisation tells me otherwise".
JWs DO believe that salvation comes only through association with the organisation. To them Jesus Chrsit is not enough.

I'm with Oub on this. I can't see what is supposed to have been changed. Both sections are totally different with no context to show where it has been changed.
I can believe what you say but nothing you've posted proves it. I would have to go to my own hardback book and the library to check for myself. Not everyone has a hardback original copy so what does the words you've written prove?

It was Wikipedia that actually set me off discovering TTATT. While reading some articles about JWs and what it had to say I read a little piece about Ray Franz. Curiosity being what it is I found his online book CoC and read it. After just three days that was it for me. So... thankyou Wikipedia!!

Harrass them before they harrass you
by SonoftheTrinity inwhy don't dfs who really know how evil jehovah's witnesses are just harrass them as they go door knocking so that when someone intervenes to defend them they get a balanced story about what the jehovah's witnesses are all about.
the ones that were raised in it were raised to be anti-intellectual wusses, they aren't going to win a debate or kick anyone's ass.
but they certainly deserve philosophical and rhetorical smackdowns, they deserve haters standing in their way as they go harrassing everybody in the neighborhood.

Pixar the production company is jealous of Caleb and Sophia video's
by life is to short inso said the co last night.. apparently a jw was on a flight and just happend to sit next to some big wig from pixar and when the man from pixar heard that he was a jw the pixar man just gushed over what great work that the watchtower has done in producing the caleb video's.
he siad he only wished pixar could do such great work.
the co said we are able to do it because we have free labor and jehovah behind us.. my husband stayed home from the meeting but wanted to tie in by phone and that is what the co said in his talk.. the co also talked about all the changes that have happened in the last ten years and how if some of the friends did not like it they needed and to quote him "they just needed to get over it" these changes are going to happned period.

Beards......the CO allowed this one!
by punkofnice ina minny man in a local congregation has a beard...he was bullied by the elders to remove it.. then the co came along and told the elders to allow him to keep his beard.
(not as the result of any skin condition or anything).. i kid you not!!!.
what do you make of that?.

There's several beards in our congo. including elders and an MS... it's no big deal here...
