The New Diary of Winston Smith
by WinstonSmith inwe had to go off grid for a time, time and half a time as we thought we had been outed.
fortunately it was a false alarm, but it was a stressful time.
i asked for my original diary thread to be deleted in case there could be anything on there to identlfy mrs smith and i. i am always very careful when posting, and am sure there was nothing on there, but felt it best to have it removed in order to be as cautious as a dove.

this is why.. first my disclaimer.
this thread is a theory since so many people love the theory and so as not to hurt feelings and insult anyone, this is only a theory.. my personal observation is this, as long as you bash watchtower all is ok. as soon as you try to present any resemblance of christianity or any belief in the bible, such as the flood, you are personally bashed.

Well, I'm a believer in God still and I don't view Cofty as a bully at all. Although I don't agree with everything he says he has made some excellent threads and given a lot of food for thought.
I've got to say though I thought the last bit was way below the belt. I think you should apologise for that.

babies dying, people suffocating, it was man at his worst.. can man be saved?
it seems the entire world is implicated in this conflict.

I was really upset by it, it was extremely distressing to see. However I believe that for every person that causes harm to others there are a hundred more who show kindness and caring. I really think that it outweighs all the terrible things shown in the news.
How about smething heartwarming like this for instance?

the end is coming soon, a few of the annointed were speaking about 2014 possibly being the year that jehovah would destroy all the hateful apostates!
the focus of this convention was not on love or the message of the good news of the kingdom.

The description given at our convention of apostates was of a 'vile' half eaten mouse that his cat dropped at his feet on his kitchen floor.... nice.

Excuse needed to get out of talk
by noonehome ini work with the school overseer so he'll be with me all day before the meeting...so being 'sick' isn't an option.
this really isn't like me to weasel my way out of something....but i've been ridiculously depressed lately and honestly i just don't have it in me to do anything let alone put a talk together.
everytime i do one it takes allot out of me and let's just say the well is pretty dry.

I told my school overseer that I didn't feel able to do the talk, I was having increasing anxiety over them, handed him the talk slip back that he'd just given me and asked if if he'd take me off the school. He looked surprised but took it and accepted what I said and I've never been bothered since. Just be upfront and straight. You don't want to do it and that's it.

Last night the one cool elder calls me
by confusedandalone ini figured he was going to arrange the committee and try to get me kicked out after the whole "big pile of books" labelled "take this shit".. well his call made me realize that more and more people ... elders included no longer take this religion seriously.
after he told me he heard what happened he actually laughed and said i would never expect that.
he then told me that it is apparent that i no longer want to be connected to the organization.

I remember walking down the road with my hubby after one book group several years ago (before I 'woke up') and said that if I have to sit through anymore of that 1914-1918 stuff and have one more reference to the 'Cedar Point' convention, that I'd never go to another book study, that it was just plain ridiculous and how do they expect us to believe all that stuff... I must have been waking up even back then LOL

Tech 49: the 3 F's...Fading, Field Service, and Friends

although they are unaware, for the most part, our ship is slowly veering off course.
not enough to cause attention, not enough to trigger alarm bells, but just enough.. since the summer dc, i have watched carefully, as the new releases remain on the coffee table, in plain sight, not touched, more of a decoration that anything.

I sometimes wonder if they do know exactly what is happening but either refuse to acknowledge it because they don't want to rock the boat or they wish they could do the same thing as you and don't want to interfere in your life. They can see you're happy so why worry about you? There again they may have so many problems to deal with in their own life that they don't have time to think about anyone else's.
It's going much the same way for me. People ask hubby how I am sometimes but it seems no one has a clue as to what is really happening, or if they do they're not bothered about it. I'm happy about it because it makes it a lot easier for me. My friend is feeling much the same way as your wife, she has said to me that she wants her and I to leave the meeting together as soon as it finishes (during the CO's visit... our husbands are both elders) so we don't get nabbed by the CO's wife for FS. Sounds good to me..I told her I don't do first call anymore anyway, only my return visits that I just pass the time of day with and leave the magazines that they like to read (and have done for years). She told me she was irregular for the first time last month and couldn't care less. I reckon everyone is just getting tired of it all.
