i don't talk about this much here cuz this is a place where i can somewhat relieve the stress of my life but my hubby isn't doing very well.
he had a bad night and thinks he had a couple of seizures.
he's scared, i'm scared.
does he suffer from epilepsy or something?
No, a person doesn't have to be epileptic to suffer from seizures, strange though it may seem, but can be brought on by some acute stress that causes disturbance in the brain.
mrsjones: my sympathies to your husband and to yourself too - I do have some idea of the terrible burden this must be for you.

I guess more substantial news will flow once the Sunday meetings are held.
What a pity there's not a scan of the actual letter to BOEs.

i havent seen any specific comments on the latest jw only watchtower (june 15th) so i offer the following brief notes to support what i perceive to be an increasing trend on obeying the fds & stressing the publications.. things from which we must free .
par 11: true christians have an obligation to warn members of babylon the great.
one way they do this is by distributing bibles & related literature published by the fds.
The NWT - an accurate , easy-to-read translation- available in more & more languages has made it convenient & possible to do so
Yet it's been nearly 30 years since it was revised! Was it so perfect? Hardly.
Language changes ~ evolves ~ and so Bible translations are revised to keep up with current language usage.
But not the NWT it seems. So how is it so "easy to read" ? It could only be easy to read if it were expressed in current usage.
i'm new to this board but i see many term themselves as faders.
i may just fade away, but on the other hand, i went ahead and told the elders that i don't believe in the wts garbage anymore.
1914, fds, al of it, i told them, is "rubbish" (i didn't want to say bs in the kh).

has anyone seen these new bookstudy slips?
they have a chart where the conducter is to put a check mark after each meeting the student attends and then average it out at the end of the month.
