i asked an old jw friend of mine why so many baptized individuals leave the jw religion.
"did it ever occur to you, old friend, that maybe they know something that you don't know and have valid reasons for leaving?
", i asked.. his response set me back for an answer.
He said, " The vast majority of those who leave the truth do it for one of three reasons:
1). They want to go out and fornicate, or are already fornicating, get caught and leave.
2). They have homosexual desires and finally go out and decide to act on those desires.
3). They've been stumbled and their pride pushes them out."
Reason 4).
as all witnesses know, the opening gambit of the great tribulation will occur when the united nations turns on organized religion to devastate them and leave them naked of people and resources.
however, as jehovah's judgement day has been spoken of as being "imminent", the question that can be fairly asked ... 'is the united nations organization actually in a position to act as god's destroyer of false religion?
while i have no doubt that most within that organization had in the past tried to make the lives of the desperate better, the united nations has unfortunately now become a weak and underfunded political eunuch.

but i am not convinced by the " god" outside the w.t so far, and i think that's also a fair comment.
if god exists why does he seem a complete liability to convincing the majority of decent people i know to associate with his one true religios organisation?
