The 1975 Generation---are they still around?

i was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.

as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.

now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.

Is it persecution or just a poor decision?

just been thinking about the "persecution" video where the modern day "job" loses everything.

here's an alternative narrative.. instead of turning down the salary job in the next town over, our hero takes the job even though it's a tough commute.

he is still able to contribute in a meaningful way to his "ministry.

I had a car full of JW Woman,in the field service..

Drive out to my ranch in the middle of no where..

In the worst piece of crap vehicle you could imagine..

Guess where the car dies?.....Right in the ranch driveway..

Now I can either keep the JW Woman as Slaves..(Nobody knows where they are..)..LOL!!..

Or..

Fix the car and get rid of a car full of JW Woman,all Talking at Once..

"BLAH..Blah..blah..blah"

Considering not one of them was ever going to stop talking and they were scaring the local wildlife..

Fixing the car was my only option..

observations: if man is merely a machine and the universe is merely a mechanism .... if men were only machines, they would react more or less uniformly to a material universe.

individuality, much less personality, would be nonexistent.. materialism reduces man to a soulless automaton and constitutes him merely an arithmetical symbol finding a helpless place in the mathematical formula of an unromantic and mechanistic universe.

but whence comes all this vast universe of mathematics without a master mathematician?

There`s nothing reasonable or logical about the OP..

It arrives at conclusions with no evidence..

And if me posting mere observations based on reason and logic would cause a nonbeliever to crucify believers who had nothing to do with this thread, then you are adding fuel to the idea that nonbelievers lack genuine morality.

There`s crazies on both sides of the fence..Believers/Non Believers..

They`re both extremely prejudiced against "Anything" outside their narrow beliefs..

A person who would do that is no different than the primitive Hebrews concept of God whom you so readily condemn.

mark sanderson gives a talk regarding his visit to belgium for the memorial this year and was travelling from korea to munich to brussels, belgium on the day of the belgium terrorist attacks.he cannot wipe the smirk on his face as he relates his experience, with no regard whatsoever of all those unfortunately affected by the attacks.

in fact, he personally found god's hand affecting him personally, allowing him to attend the memorial as planned and a kh dedication.he is that privileged during his flight travels that internet was available to him, enabling him to catch up on current news and to contact branch's.

unreasonableness of excluding spiritualism.....OLI

It`s presenting the spiritual as fact,without providing a shred of evidence..

Nobody at work knows what JWs believe

recently susie, one of my co-workers mentioned that her husband's family were all jws.

the family converted after susie's husband left home, so he never joined the jws, nor does he intend to.

anyway another co-worker asked her: "what do the jws believe?".

i’ve been reading it for a few of years off and on, but have been a little too ... maybe ... timid to join.

i left the watchtower organization almost 20 years ago but never abandoned my faith and belief in god.

i knew the gb/organization didn’t represent god, so when i lost my faith in them, i managed to keep my faith in an all wise benevolent creator.

Just so you know..

I don`t have a problem with People of Faith.....None at all

If people want to believe in Jesus and God..

I`m Good With That.....But..
