  Were you beaten as a child?

  i've been confronting my mother with her dubious parenting skills (abuse) of me as a child.

  particularly the beatings i would get with the wooden spoon.

  not a light smack but hitting me as hard as she could for as long as she could.

  Absolutely..I was told JW children enjoy being disciplined..

  Especially for breaking WBT$ Rules..

  How do your parents justify themselves now?

  They were your typical obnoxious,pain in the ass,self righteous JW`s..

  According to them,they never did anything wrong.....Ever..
  

  Now they`re Good JW`s who no longer cause problems for anyone..

  according to quantum theory and non-locality, two particles, can act in unity.

  for example, take a and b (photons or electrons for example).

  pair them, then separate them, and put them on either side of the planet.

  No historical evidence for bronze age men living to 500yrs old?

  the bible tells us that noah etc lived to 500yrs old as did many other characters who lived apparently to incredible years.. yet archaeological research tells us from looking at skeletons that have been dug up that the average lifespan was very short.

  if a man got to the age of 50 they would have considered that quite an achievement.

  when i was in i always wondered about this?

  It`s extremely unlikely most of them could read and write..Much less count..

  Are JWs now encouraged to volunteer?

  after i retired i volunteered for several community service programs, including working with the local food bank.

  every fourth thursday of each month i help out in distributing food to needy families at the local veterans building.

  i've been helping out for five years now.

  What was your first public bible reading? And when?

  i perfectly remember that, rehearsing with mom, trying to read with enough emphasis and in a proper tone.

  i was 5 years old, back then in 1996 i think, and the portion was james 5:1-13.... i found today that i still know the first verses by heart!!!

  it's actually a cherished memory for me, i came to memorize those because mom had me starting the reading all over again until i got to read it properly... and in time!!!

  For some reason, I was thought of as being a "good speaker", and was asked to give the bible reading at 8 years old, but at the assembly in front of like 4,000 people......Dunedain

  I was put on stage too at an assembly..

  My mom badgered me to show a scripture to my 1st grade teacher..

  It became apparent..

  My mom was never going to shut up,until she got what she wanted..

  That landed me on the assembly stage for "Experiences"..

  No one ever mentioned..

  My mom wouldn`t shut up,until I showed my teacher the scripture..

  My son has a very significant interview today..

  he is just days away from graduation with his bachelor's in english, and today, he has an interview with a recruiter for an agency that help with finding teaching positions in south korea.. i took it upon myself to research the company and his interviewer, and it's been high marks all around on both of them.

  so that's a great ease on my mind.i just hope the interview (over the phone) goes well, and results in the next steps to getting a position.my son spent a month in seoul last summer, an loved the place.

  he has friends out there as well, including a young man that he attended classes with here in the states, so i think that's a real plus in taking this very giant leap.when i was his age, i was slowly working my way through a two year degree, still living at home, and aspiring to nothing more than a job as a repairman.

  I had no idea what I was talking about..

  I parroted what I had been coached to say..

  Try quitting WBT$/JW Ministry School when your a JW kid..

  i was searching for job and a man saw me and asked me whether i can do a job that would take me from two years to five years.

  so i said yes to him; and he took me to a company called gnld.
