How did you reconcile that with judging people doing the same things as you?

They are the ones who covered up JFK's suicide. They altered all films, editing out the gun JFK used to kill himself.
He was depressed because the lizard aliens who own the moon were making him fake the moon landing.

The denial of 1975 when and how did they go about it.
by Crazyguy ini was pretty young in 1975, all i remember was a few complaining at the hall after and those at the door that razed us over it.
does anyone remember how they went about denying it and when this started.
i do remember a scripture in psalms about people being mighty and living longer so this was used.

I believe sometime in the 80's, the seven 7000-year long "creative days" was pocket vetoed.
At that time, I remember 9th grade Earth science made all sorts of light bulbs go off in my head. My father and other older JWs still held onto the idea that the creative days started some 48000 years ago, but I had a hard time believing the continents were that young. We had some heated discussions.
Too bad I didn't wake up back then. I wish I had the Internet like kids today.

William Malenfant's appalling hate speech - latest morning worship video
by doubtfull1799 inso he tries to prove that we are living in the last days without any evidence, but instead a series of unsubstantiated assertions ("never has there been a time with so much lack love and affection").
and uses things that are not even part of the so-called "sign" (abortions, pollution).
then proceeds to ridicule the "ridiculers," stereotype them, and declare they are only fit for destruction!.

Overall, the morality of humanity has progressed significantly in recent times. At least, in comparison to what things were in past centuries. Humanity used to be steeped in superstition, ignorance and crime and bloodshed to a degree unimaginable in most of the developed world.
Kids coming up today seem to get a better education about bullying, something totally ignored when I was coming up. In many ways, I wish I grew up in this generation.

This shows the Governing Body is surrounded by lower tiers of men who are just as extreme as they, if not more so. When one Governing Body dies, they just draw another toxic individual from the pool to replace them. -

This is the million dollar question. Where does the money go? Why is there zero transparency?
On the other hand, Ray Franz believed his fellow Governing Body members sincere and captives on a concept. Does that still hold true today? They seem sincere, but deluded. Relative to the millions of JWs worldwide, they are better off, perhaps in an upper middle class lifestyle, along with gifts richer followers give them.
But then there are vendors who profit from the materials and services Watchtower provides, as well as salesman who get huge commissions.
I believe there is evidence that they invest in hedge funds and offshore accounts.
I do wonder if certain individuals in the Watchtower cooperation could actually embezzle money and the uneducated Governing Body would be none the wiser.
But then this is all speculation.

Jehovah's Witnesses act like 'Flirts' with people!
by stuckinarut2 inwe were just musing that jws act in a "flirtatious" manner with people in the community.. they show such "sincere" interest in people when they call.
they seem like such kind, caring and thoughtful people - really interested in their lives and welfare.. people are often quite impressed with the jws manner, and their well dressed presentation.
people (especially vulnerable ones who are going through difficult pressures in life), are drawn in and made to feel special by the witnesses as they call back.. return visits take place.

Do you think the general public cares about former Jehovah's witnesses?
by Christian Gutierrez ini was wondering if you guys think if the general public cares about our stories or if they even care what the watchtower does to people??
?.

I agree. The majority are unaware. Perhaps when some show up at their door...of course, they might get them mixed up with Mormons. But then the solution is the same: they don't answer.
Some seem to believe JWs are just another Christian denomination and pretty benign. After all, they seem like nice, friendly people.
It is ironic that Scientology gets all the attention when they are so small in comparison. Heck, I would bet the JW religion disfellowships the equivalent of the total number of active Scientologists each year. But then, Scientology has courted celebrity and now that is coming back to haunt them.
