  Who really is the Faithful and Discreet Slave?

  if anyone were to come up to you claiming that they are the faithful and discreet slave, how would you go about proving them to be false, based upon scripture?.

  So, are we all in agreement that the WTS is "not" the faithful and discreet slave as they claim to be? If so, then who really is?

  No one is.

  45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? 46 It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’ 49 and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50 The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of. 51 He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  Who is the faithful and discreet slave of Matthew 24:45? Who is the wicked servant of Matthew 24:28? Notice the faithful and discreet slave of Matthew 24:45 is the same one in verse 48 - "But suppose that servant (faithful and wise) is wicked..."

  So, Jesus was speaking an opportunity for Christians. Take care of your fellow servants and when Jesus returns he will put you in charge of all his possessions. Beat on your fellow Christians and Jesus will cut you to pieces.

  In short, its a promise and a warning to Christians. Be Christlike or else. It is not a designated person or group.

  The Book of Mark or the Gospel According to Mark is probably the on book in the entire Bible of any value.

  The Book of Matthew or the Gospel According to Matthew (Matthias) is a plagiarized version of the Book of Mark intended for Jewish readers.

  The Book of Luke or the Gospel According to Luke is a plagiarized version of the Book of Mark intended for Roman readers.

  The Book of John or the Gospel According to John is a plagiarized version of the Book of Mark with some added make-believe miracles and the deifying of Jesus.

  Jesus was a faith healer who had a psychedelic experience induced from starvation and dehydration. This led Jesus to being Enlightened. Jesus used the Jewish mythology to teach his fellow Jews what he had learned. The Book of Mark sums this up nicely.

  So, in short, whatever is in Mark is more likely to be true if true. By the time the Book of John rolls around a lot of magical nonsense has been added to the story and the whole point of Jesus life and ministry is glossed right over in favor of "Jesus is God in human form" and "salvation is all that matters".

  To the point - Jesus is not the Messiah the Jews were anticipating. If Jesus were the Jews would have overthrown the Roman Empire and Jesus would have been the King of the Earth right then and there.

  JWs near of losing their status a religious organization in Norway

  last spring norweigian state refused to give public contribution to jws (religious organisations can apply that in norway and previously wtbs has been granted that).

  the decision was caused because of practise of disfellowshpiping.. now there is a new twist.. 25.10.2022 authorites in norway send a letter to wtbs and told them that they have four weeks to fix that practise.

  if they don't do that they will loose their status as a religiouse organisation.. intrestingly jws did not "understand" what authorites meant by that and requested more time.. how can they not understand?

  The Watchtower freely admits it is made up of imperfect men. This is as good as it gets for an apology for getting it wrong. The fact remains - the Watchtower gets it wrong.

  So, the only source Witnesses are to get information from is basically a crap shoot. At the same time they claim that their salvation is based on obeying the Watchtower. It is like going to a blind surgeon for a lifesaving medical procedure. Good luck with that!

  First, the Watchtower denies there are any other Homo species. I recall literature basically claiming the evidence of Homo species outside Homo Sapiens is extremely limited ("Doesn't fill the bottom of a funeral casket") and is all make-believe. So, that is the Watchtower.

  There have been at least 6, maybe up to 21, species of human starting with Homo Erectus. Neanderthal is a recent species of human separate from Homo Sapiens (that's us). Homo Sapiens first appeared in Africa and the Middle East while Neanderthal first appeared in Eurasia.

  thousands of years ago .. genesis chapter 11: 1-9 and how god was affected by what man planned to do ?.

  build a tower into the heavens ?

  their is no end to what he may acheive having only one language .. today, in the year 2022.. not only are modern skyscrapers taller than anything that could have been built with the tower of babel in bible times ,but what is acheivable today in space far exceeds anything that could have been acheived back then.. and god / jehovah is silent ?.

  The story of the Tower of Babel is proof that the god of the Bible cheated in an attempt to win. The writer specifically puts into words at Genesis 11:6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. - NIV

  What would be impossible for them? NOTHING!!!

  Help needed

  i’ve been visiting this site for quite a long time, although i rarely posted.

  i would like to thank simon and all the participants, for the valuable information and support that is available here, for anyone searching about the jw organization.. just a brief introduction of myself: i live in europe (english is not my native language, so please bear with any mistakes i make).

  i was born in a jw family and i’m still in the organization, but i’ve been “on the fence” about leaving the organization for quite a long time.

  So I would first like to ask if anyone who was raised as a jw and left the organization, would like to share how easy or difficult this transition was.

  I did not consider leaving until I was in a situation were I was unable to regularly attend meetings for work. I stopped studying, reading Watchtower publications, and going in field service. Then I missed months worth of consecutive meetings.

  Then came a move to another state. Now I was isolated from former friends and family. I had already started relying on co-workers who befriended me instead of Witnesses.

  Here is how I would look at the whole situation -

  1. Determine if you are financially independent from JW family. Can you pay for your housing, food, and monthly expenses without any problem? Do you live in your own home? If you cannot say "yes" to both questions without hesitation leaving will be near impossible.
  2. Do you have a support structure of non-JW family and friends? Can you start making one? Having someone who you can rely on for emotional support is essential. That is why the Watchtower preaches not making friends outside the organization. It is the number one way they maintain control over you.
  3. Can you live happily without having regular association with your JW family members? Once you can live with this and the above two point you are ready to leave.

  Some who served in a form of special full-time service for a long time have received a change of assignment. Others have had to relinquish a cherished privilege because of their age. It is normal to feel disappointed when such a change affects us. Initially, we may not fully understand the decision or agree with it.

  Let's go through this word salad -
  

  Some who served in a form of special full-time service for a long time have received a change of assignment. Translation: The now defunct District Overseer assignment and other assignments that received full financial support were cut due to corporate downsizing.

  Others have had to relinquish a cherished privilege because of their age. Translation: Bethel volunteers who took an oath of poverty and relied 100% on the Watchtower were thrown out into the cold streets. These volunteers aged-out and would have been a financial burden to the Watchtower.

  Initially, we may not fully understand the decision or agree with it. Translation: You have seen the injustice and question the Watchtower's claim in being God's chosen spokes piece.
