How Do You Think The USA Should Allow Illegal Immigrants To Freely Flow Into The Country?
by minimus inmany people have said there is no emergency at the border for people illegally coming into the country and furthermore we have an obligation to help these people in a humanitarian way come through.
.
do you think we can just keep on taking in all of these people?

The only reason Mexico is even an issue is because the Mexican government does near to nothing to stop the flow of Criminal Aliens coming from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras from coming across the U.S. border. As asylum law works internationally, asylum seekers must request asylum from the first country they enter. Therefore all asylum seekers leaving the "Latin Triangle" are to request asylum from Mexico.
As I have been saying for years, the U.S. has its troops in the wrong country. The reason the Mexican government does nothing is twofold -
1. Mexico lacks the funding to assist asylum seekers
2. The Mexican government has allowed the cartels to take over and the cartels are profiting of the illegal migration
The U.S. does not need a wall at its southern border. The U.S. needs to cease all financial aid to Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. A virtual wall made up of a U.S. military presence needs to be set up on the Mexican side of the border until the cartels are destroyed.

Going To The Meetings To Give A Witness
by Brokeback Watchtower ine tricki've been tossing around the idea of perhaps going to a meeting in the future just to check things out i'm in no hurry this could happen months or years from now.
i would like to give them a witness about some of the problems i see as a newly interested person checking things out.
maybe just hanging back after coming to the meeting late and casually talking with people as a non pushy interested in what going on after some internet search led me to jw.org.

All though the scenario sounds good, it would be an act of futility. You walk into a room of 100 active Witnesses trying to get them to question their beliefs, they will double down on stupid to keep up with appearance. The best reverse-witness is to speak to them one-on-one or when they are at your door in the ministry.
Never make a statement. Always ask a question. Often they will say "I will have to ask my elders about that," or "You can find out about that on JW.org." To which you can reply, again with a question, "Being this is a central belief held by your religion, a religion you have dedicated your life to, don't you think you should be able to answer the question?"

The so called "Asylum Seekers" from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras are not eligible for asylum. The fact that there is violence or gang violence in your country is not a valid legal reason. A person may only seek asylum because of persecution for race, religion, or nationality.
The United States is plagued with violence and gang violence. Look at places such as Los Angeles and Chicago. Where do people living their go to seek asylum?
This is all about globalization and redistribution of wealth. Two socialist college professors came up with a plan in which a wealthy nation is flooded with poor illegal aliens for the purpose of causing the collapse of the nation's welfare system. In turn, the citizens would seek revolution over the failure of its government to deal with the situation.

I remember being Magazine and Literature Servant. Always having to be at the Kingdom Hall early and then having to stay late because people chose to chit chat after the meeting and THEN wanted to pick up literature. I also remember managing the Literature counter so well that my congregation had no excess literature to include Bound Volumes. The appreciation shown to me by the body of elders was a stern talking to because, in spite of my exemplary number of hours reported in the ministry and magazines placed, my book placement was below the national average. If I was going to be the Literature Servant I need to be exemplary in book placement.
What a beat down!

Do old time present day active JW`s genuinely believe in overlapping generations ?
by smiddy3 infor the life of me i can not come to terms with old timers in the "truth" who could swallow this interpretation of scripture about an overlapping generation .. when jesus spoke about "this generation" .
are their any real bible students among younger ones any more ?.
here are 3 bible scriptures that confirm a generation is approximately 40- 50 years long give or take a few years .. 1. matt:1 :17 abraham born 2016-18 bc jesus born 2 bc approx.

Follow the insanity -
1. 1914 is an important date, prophesied about in scripture, marking the return of Christ as King of God's Kingdom.
2. The "end" didn't come when the generation who saw the sign past.
3. The organization and it's "Governing Body" is never wrong.
What would have to follow for number 4?
"The generation Jesus foretold must be overlapping."
Notice that only after the generation ended does this "new light" come about. When the the foundation of anything is built on a bad information the only outcome is a negative outcome.

Less facial hair? More spirituality!
by neat blue dog inwe've often seen the happifying kingdom trope of a bearded bible student coming up from the baptism water with a freshly shaven, baby smooth face.
beards, after all, signify independent thinking and are best left to worldlings.
our new july 2019 issue of the watchtower, however, sheds increasing light on the subject.

c. 800 BC-600 AD: The Ancient Greeks found beards very important and only cut them during times of mourning. Losing one’s beard was very shameful. Young men were not allowed to cut their hair until they grew beards, and they sacrificed their first beards to the god Apollo.
400-300 BC: Alexander the Great was clean-shaven and encouraged the same in his soldiers, as beards could be grabbed by enemies in “hand-to-beard combat.”
As we can clearly see, the shaving of facial hair has it's origins in false religion and warfare. As true Christians, we would want to be free from such things as they do not honor Jehovah.

Cracking down on neutrality rules
by Addison0998 inmaybe i’m wrong, but when i was younger, when it came to the flag salute and the national anthem, we were allowed to stand with everyone else, as long as we didn’t put our hand on our heart and sing or speak along.
now in the march broadcast apparently witnesses are supposed to make an even bigger show of themselves by staying seated?
aren’t we supposed to be discreet?

It must be exhausting creating unnecessary man made rules to live by for every occasion in life.

Preparing the sheeple for finally abandoning the significance of 1914
by under the radar inwe all know the society would love to get rid of all the problems caused by clinging to 1914 and all they claimed it meant for the last 100+ years.. it looks like they are laying the groundwork for easing away from the whole concept of 1914. this would also let them do away with the ridiculous "overlapping generation" bullcrap.
what a diaper load that has been.... anyway, the following is from their super secret marching orders for april, 2019. draw your own conclusions.... "3.
“100 years of faithfulness”: the coordinator of the body of elders, or another elder, should be invited to read the following special announcement.

Not JW related, but should the electoral college be abolished?
by Billzfan23 inelizabeth warren, alexandria ocasio cortez, and other democrats are openly expressing interest (and in come cases, campaign promises) that the electoral college has to go.
i disagree for a few reasons.
first, the 25 states (out of 50, so 50%) with the smallest populations only get 21% of the electoral college votes (in our current system, today).

The U.S. is a collection of 50 sovereign states. Abolishing the Electoral College would mean that California and New York would decide the outcome of every Presidential Election. Not even New York state, but the City of New York.
Democracies fail. The U.S. is not a democracy. Never was. It should never be.
