you probably think i need mental counseling but i am moving from southwest florida to minnesota.
i was just there last week in the -29 degree weather to close on a house i bought in oakdale, minnesota.
being a florida resident for 5 years has taught me that it is no longer the paradise that people think it is.
I grew up in Oakdale, MN. Minnesota is a beautiful state. It has all four seasons; fall, winter, spring, and June.
I can tell you this - Minnesota has some of the highest taxes anywhere in the U.S.
Be sure to research state income tax and property taxes before pulling the trigger on an out-of-state move.
the star wars franchise has lots of memorable characters, no doubt about it.
the sw extended universe is a big space.. there are lots of characters in the extended universe that i know little or nothing about - i may have only heard their names.. so if you could pick just one character, which one is your favourite?.

This is seconded by Qui Gon Jinn. The best 2 characters of the entire prequel trilogy were killed off in the first film.
so i'm watching john cedars commentary on the annual meeting from this last october, and at one point he shows a clip of garrett loesch talking about the struggles jehovah's witnesses faced decades before in the soviet union.
he claimed that police officers, maybe the kgb, infiltrated congregations which met in secret by studying with jehovah's witnesses, getting baptized, and then working their way up to becoming elders.
ceders jokes that this shows what kind of role holy spirit actually plays within body of elders, but another interpretation came to my mind just now.
Wow! This is pretty damning evidence towards the claims of being "spirit directed".

i notice that several of the congs i've been to seem to have a majority of the male roles performed by older men.
very few young men are wanting to be ms or elders etc.
it also seems like very few young people are being pioneers either.. would you agree with this?
In the group of kids I grew up with in the congregation I attended this is what I found -
Most of us are no longer Witnesses.
Many who are in are PIMO and no longer "qualify" for "privileges" because they do what they want just to the point of disfellowshipping, but never crossing the line.
We all have children and, whether we are in or our, none of the adult kids are Witnesses.
My sister is the only one who is still PIMI. Her daughters are too. Her husband, who was my best friend in high school is PIMO.

They will tell you they believe it, but in the end they do not act that way. To most Witnesses, Armageddon is always close, but years away. No need to sell homes, quit jobs, stop taking vacations, all to dedicate themselves to the full time ministry.
