Which one?
That was my first thought.
i beginning to think that this would be a good way of thinking, a totally righteous being would not let all the shit that is happenning to people prevail, this being cannot have the best interests of man as his first priority, it's all about ego and no matter how the human familty suffers, he hates pretty much everyone, as the tv show says, your fired, let's get a better god, one who at least gives everyone a chance!!.
i welcome comments from god apologists, to at least have an argument as to why they put they're faith in someone that does'nt give a shit about them!.
star tiger.
Which one?
That was my first thought.
estimates range from 4 million to 15 million children die from starvation each year on this planet.
that's between 500 and 1700 children a day, depending on what numbers you accept.
still, no matter which numbers you use, doesn't this make you arrive at one of the following conclusions?.
Hi SOG! Please do not feel responsible for reveling the truth to them! It is not possible to do that. if you meant sharing what you are learning, that is commendable, but you might make some enemies of your friends. Be prepared. Peace!
No worries! I only reveal as God leads, and I know it isn't my burden. Not at all. I probably could have worded things better.
I did not even rescue my husband, but I planted, Apollos watered, God kept making it grow.
LOVE Sis,

this has been nagging at me a little bit; i left 10 years ago, but am not df'd as far as i know.
i recognize the fact that this organization has no authority over me so would not bother with a letter just for them to clean up their records.. but to obey the bible command, is it enough to no longer be a part of it, or is it important to show god where you stand with a formal act of withdrawal from the organization?
what are your thoughts?.
You are out of her, if your heart is out of her. God does not need a formal written declaration. Your heart and spirit speak more clearly than anything else. WTS is part of 'her'. False teachings, false christianity, false representations of Christ and God... lies.
Peace,
Tammy
I agree.
i found this blog by happenstance, and i was wondering if some of you could answer these questions as a jw to help me anticipate future arguments.
i have some answers already, but would like some additional input.
why did jehovahs witnesses properly worshiped christ jesus until 1954?if all that was made was made through him(john 1:3) and for him( colossians 1:16, romans 11:36), why add word other-allos in col 1:15-17?was jehovah god without wisdom before creating him(proverbs 8:22-31) ?if firstborn means first created, then what does firstborn of the dead mean?
First off I want to say that Jesus Christ is the Almighty God, just as the Father is the Almighty God and the Spirit is the Almighty God. There is one God and one Savior. He can be in many places at once and take any form. I had to say this because answering the questions as a JW is very difficult. That organization is spirit-directed all right. A lying spirit who lies in order to keep us away from Christ.
Why did Jehovah’s Witnesses properly worshiped Christ Jesus until 1954?The light gets brighter.
If all that was made was made through him(John 1:3) and for him( Colossians 1:16, Romans 11:36), why add word “other-allos” in Col 1:15-17? Um duh... you started with a verse (John 1:3) that I wasn't programmed with. Well, you know, why is He called God's Son instead of just God then?
Was Jehovah God without wisdom before creating him(Proverbs 8:22-31) ? Well it says "God brought me forth" and "I was formed", why does it say that?
If firstborn means first created, then what does firstborn of the dead mean?( or what does Israel(Exo. 4:22) and Ephraim(Jer. 31:9) been firstborn mean?)hmmmm...
Why is Christ Jesus calling himself the first and the last?(Revelation 1:17-18) Christ was the first one raised in the first resurrection, and the last one that will be raised directly by Jehovah God.
Were the first Christians from A. D. 30-250 understanding of Jesus as God wrong?Oh most definitely. The Great Apostasy was in full force. Besides, I can find quotes from that time that seem to support the JW view.
If Jesus is a lesser god because he is only Might God(Isaiah 9:6), would that not make Jehovah God also lesser god since his called Might God(Isaiah 10:20-21)? The difference is that Jesus isn't called "almighty", is he?
If Only-begotten(John 3:16) means Jesus was Jehovah’s first creation, how then do we explain Isaac(Hebrews 11:17) being the only-begotten of Abraham and not Ishmael? So why don't you tell me what only-begotten means then?
Why did God, in Genesis 1:26, said let us make man in our image(God’s image, not angel + God)?Because Jesus was the only being to be created directly by the Father, so he is unique, not just an angel.
Could you explain how “Jehovah made it rain sulphur from Jehovah” Genesis 19:24 NWT?I don't get your point.
Why did Thomas say to Christ Jesus “the Lord of me, and the God of me”(John 20:28 cf. Psalm 34:23)?He was surprised and simply meant a god.
Why does historical documents show that the first Christians and Apostolic Fathers prayed and worshiped Christ Jesus as God?No they don't.
sometimes i feel like a second class apostate...not that anyone has ever said anything to make me feel that way, i just do, you know what i mean?.
i left the jws because i just couldn't fight my flesh anymore.
the battle inside was going to kill me literally.
Why? Life is PRACTICAL and any lifestyle (yes, Religion is a Lifestyle!) that is anti-human needs is poisonous.
Does any drowning man make gentle choices?

I am starting to understand the answer to why? Why this suffering? Why does it continue?
I can't just go rescue my JW family. I have to gradually reveal the truth to them.

once religious people believe that the "next life" (no matter what you call it: Heaven, New Order, Allah's Palace etc.) is possible, it inherently devalues this existence and provide justification or explanation for the most grievous suffering.
Wow. My JW brother was talking to me about my Dad and actually said that it is better to die before Armageddon. Your sins are forgiven if you die you know. How sick is that teaching?

I recommend a reading of The Top Ten Myths about Evolution.
It may also suprise many to know that the majority of both Young Earth Creationists and Old Earth Creationists believe in the evolution of MRSA, speciation, etc. They believe in evolution. Just not all of the aspects of the theory of evolution.
As for doubts in the Bible, I don't know what to say. I wanted to believe in Christ, so I kept searching. Most of my questions were answered. There are books of the Bible that lead to Christ, especially Isaiah, the 4 Gospels, Romans, Galatians, 1 John. The other books are best read after receiving Christ's Spirit, because the understanding is explained by Him.
I have had religion in my life as a JW, as a fallen away JW that still read the Bible, as someone who pursued Eastern views on life-force...
My prayers were not answered when I was relying on faith in a false god, or positive energy, positive thinking.
Christ changes everything.
.
hiya and... i do not really know where to begin... currently a jw... slightly starting to fade... got a girlfriend baptised... i am baptised also... my head is a mess... i do not know what to believe anymore... never really fully trusted elders as it comes to 'leading the flock'... got burned a few times with their ... decisions etc.
read a few articles in here about their alleged false beliefs... do not really know what to do... wondered if any of you felt like that at any point... when something that you trusted and followed most of your life... does not seem to be what you thought it was... .
wow Balaamsass. I thought the same thing. I thought of the Jews and how they only had the temple even when it was run by Pharisees. That thinking kept me in for another 2-3 years.
i am writing up some things, thinking about making some brochures to distribute to jws.
here is one of the first, as this question is what broke me free.
i am playing with the idea of putting the scriptures and watchtower quotes on one page tracts or even billboards, anyway, here you have it:.
Yeah, okay, thanks. That makes sense. All I needed was to realize that the WT was calling the governing body the Greater Moses. Boom! I was fully out in that moment, and my heart began to sing!
