ah, yes, so mid-way through a conversation about work, a family member just had to say "oh, you know the memorial is tuesday april 11, so i guess you will have to schedule your work so you can make it right?".
i simply said "oh is it?
" and then went back to what we were talking about.. has anyone else had the pressure to attend put on them?.
The way I read your story, I see someone who is trying to relieve their on guilt in case someone asked: "did you invite Stuckin to the memorial?" Or perhaps someone in authority told your family member to "be sure to remind Stuckin about the memorial."
They now can honestly say that they reminded you. End of discussion....
it seems that most people who have been witnesses that i've known in the last 20 years are still jws.
they may not be as zealous as before but they still remain as jehovah's witnesses.

While many have left I think there are many more who fit the category of the "walking dead." They no longer believe but have nowhere else to go. It is one thing to learn you live in a cult. It is something totally different to get the courage to actually leave.

the problem with the date ”1914 ad” lays with the two calendars that are involved – jewish and gregorian.
Any discussion of 1914 is silly. If there was a justification for this date in the past, it is hard to extract meaning given that we are many generations beyond the date. Let's move on.

I learned the value of Brooklyn Heights' real estate. Purchase an apartment on Columbia Heights sold it several years later. Best investment ever.

Thank you for posting. This should be talked about as much as possible. The no-education policy is the moral equivalent of keeping your woman "barefoot and pregnant."
No education severely limits a person's options if they consider leaving. In addition, a witness never learns the critical thinking skills necessary to understand TTATT.

i watched it and pretended i had never been a jw.. if you pretend you don't understand their particular language it makes for a interesting (if not vague) watch.. btw i've seen several of the actors before.
