  Thanksgiving??

  with thanksgiving around the corner, i thought it would be interesting to hear how you, your family or other jw's you knew handled/celebrated thanksgiving.

  it seems to me that most jw's view it as harmless and unofficially celebrate it the day before or the day after the actual holiday.

  growing up, my mother would host a dinner the day after thanksgiving and used the excuse " well the traditional food for the dinner is discounted at this time, might as well have a dinner".

  My mother always cooked turkey on Thanksgiving. More than a few times we invited other JWs to join us.

  Sam Harris on Trump - The Most Powerful Clown

  harris is at his incisive best in his latest podcast.. he likens the situation to being on an aeroplane where the pilot has died and somebody with no experience of flying has grabbed the controls.

  we should all be committed to his success.

  prize for the best line goes to - "caligula with a iphone".. even if you love trump and despise harris you should appreciate his clarity.. waking up with sam harris....

  Trump may be a clown but we chose him and he is our clown for at least the next 4 years, we need to get used to it.

  i'm sure many people, republicans included, are shocked at the results of the 2016 presidential election.

  really, wtf!.

  the polls were wrong and although it's tempting to blame voter suppression and fbi interference, that would just avoid looking at the real issues for the loss.

  The anger is a part of the lives of people in mid-America. While Hillary was not personally responsible for that anger, she could never get beyond it. And the African Americans, which appear to have the most to lose with a Trump president, failed her.

  please, let's discuss this subject without attacking one another.. it appears that trump has won a victory that no one expected.

  is it possible that trump may play a part in the great tribulation?.

  there are some who believe trump is one of the most unqualified of men to ever be elected president of the united states.

  I watched the demonstration of the parents rejecting their son. How very sad. To ask people to extract children out of their lives based upon a belief system is criminal.

  I am not sure why NYC does not call this early voting. The website identifies absentee balloting as an option. Once I arrive, I realized that you could actually cast an early vote at the site.

  It would be nice if they called it early voting, as opposed to absentee voting. I was certainly confused.

  smiddy, If you can vote twice I am not sure how. They tracked my early vote and am sure that any additional votes will be flagged.

  I mentioned the African american vote because this is a current topic:

  The concern from the Hilary camp is that the Black vote is not stepping up. My comment was simply to show that the Black vote is there. I can only assume that these individuals were not voting for Trump.
