Rebranding does not happen by accident. The skill in the rebranding that I see could only happen with a highly skilled consulting group. The society paid big bucks - based upon what I see they got their money's worth.

At the meeting... And I have #3 Talk

by Separation of Powers inmy mom called me yesterday to ask how i was doing.
i hadn't seen her in a while, so it was nice to hear her voice.
we went through the motions of jw small talk and then she started telling me about her co visit from last week.

The speeding up of the work clearly identifies the fact that we are very near the end of this old wicked world. All of this is pretty exciting. Who knew that of all of humanity we would be blessed with being the chosen generation (and in generation, I don't mean the overlapping generation) to experience gods wondrous wrath and love all wrapped up in a tight little ball. Just, Wow! -

Thanks for posting. I have been to more than a few offices in my life, this is an office. It is void of anything spiritual. May be this is good because this emphasizes to the R&F that when you go to the meetings working are working (free of charge - but it is still work) for the governing body. I wonder if they will have a time card so publishers can clock in and out? -

The General Assembly, Recalling its resolution 65/309 of 19 July 2011, which invites Member States to pursue the elaboration of additional measures that better capture the importance of the pursuit of happiness and well-being in development with a view to guiding their public policies, Conscious that the pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal, Recognizing the relevance of happiness and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives, Recognizing also the need for a more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach to economic growth that promotes sustainable development, poverty eradication, happiness and the well-being of all peoples, 1. Decides to proclaim 20 March the International Day of Happiness; 2. Did you skip the meeting to watch the superbowl ?

born and raised in boston, i am a huge sports fan, and of course patriots fan.
so anyone here go to another meeting, makeup some bs excuse, illness, flat out miss the meeting or anything else to watch game if your meeting happened to go from the 9am to the 3pm in january ?.

I was never a big football fan and even when we had Sunday evening meetings, it was not a big deal.
My only superbowl/watchtower conflict was when the PO wanted to do sheparding calls on Superbowl night. I had to leave a superbowl party attend this part of my service.

The scared little girl in the basement

if these people werent in this basement, would they be killed?

Oh the emotions that this generates. I can't imagine the discussions that my family members engaged in based upon this picture. This picture encapsulates everything that the Watchtower promotes as their end-time scenario. I am out for many years and see the religion as all crap; and yet I still have a few emotional chords ringing.
My hat goes off to the person or people involved in this picture. You get an "A+."
But then again, it is all fiction... but I still give an "A+"

I am generally a happy person. But, I have no desire to express this happiness in dance. Nor do I need to express my general happiness through a YouTube video. I do plenty of YouTube videos, but they are in the general topic of accounting - which is the source of my happiness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XU0blGexp58
My happiness is very personal. What others think is of no concern to me.
One wonders why they are so intent on showing others that they are happy. What is the point. I know I would not be happy swinging a toilet brush through the air. I find that a bit disturbing.
