  how often do you get your rubbish/refuse collected?

  where i live they have just changed it to ever 2 weeks!

  in between they just collect papper and recyclable stuff.

  They collect rubbish and recylables on alternate weeks here.
  Wheelie bins can get a little whiffy in the summer. :)

  the watchtower society regularly talks about how jehovah's witnesses are unique.

  so unique----they alone enjoy a "spiritual paradise".

  while you were a witness, were you ever in "spiritual paradise"??

  Puddy Cat Question..

  george is my big, cuddly, long-haired ginger tom.

  he's a real in-your-face character cat.

  I had a cat that was the opposite of your's, she was a filler.
  If you dug a hole in the garden and she happened to see you she would be over like and shot
  and attempting to fill it in. I dug a trench in the garden once to lay a cable, a hot day so I went in
  to get a drink. When I came back out she was stretched across the trench full length trying to fill the thing in,
  it would have taken her all year but still she had to give it a go.
  Another little quirky thing she did was to jump into the fishpond. On several occasions she appeared
  covered in weed and stinking of pond. Cats and water don't normally mix but she was the exception.
  Another odd thing she did was sit on the edge of the bath while you were in there and 'attack' the water.
  Cats are strange. :)

  ever listened to someone who goes on and on about someone or something (and i don't mean jehovah's witnesses here!

  ) like they were the best thing since sliced bread.....and try as you might you just can't see the attraction?.

  my brother-in law must have every sodding elvis record/picture/memorabilia thing going, and he goes on and on about him.

  if you have looked on some of these topics to choose from you would know that witness are neutral on topics on political debts.

  and not just everyone "could" run for office.

  you need money, exposure, the media, influence, etc.

  but if you could, if it was even a longshot possibility, would you ever consider running for office?

  I think that anybody who WANTS to have power should automatically be excluded from doing so.
  I'd much rather see an elected committee of my peers running things than some control freak or
  self serving nest featherer having any form of control.

  100mph winds

  that'll teach me to eat beans on toast, yesterday!!!.

  the wind is really picking up and the town is clearing as everyone is getting sent home from work.. we're expecting 100mph gusts here, on the west coast of scotland.. i'm gonna go home and get cosy, with a roaring coal fire.

  it's just as well our houses are built for severe weather!.

  I noticed the wind starting to pick up down here in East Angular.
  I don't think we are going to get it too bad this time though.

  I know of several JW Builders, some good, some mediocre and some absolutely dire and still charging top whack for
  their shoddy work. I only have to walk out into my back garden and admire the 'workmanship' of a neighbours
  garage roof constructed by Witnesses. Still, it gave my grandad, a carpenter all his life, laughs aplenty
  during the construction and everytime he saw it afterwards.
  One thing I have noticed about Witnesses, they really know how to gouge, sorry, I meant charge. :)

  I think the problem is that people put too much of it on their toast. You have to put the merest trace of it on top of the butter. That is of course until you are hooked then you can put a little bit more on. But, as a general rule, you only need a little touch of it to get that Marmite heavenliness.............................. :)
