I tried leaning on WTS: that was a bust

the wbts keeps trying to cram proverbs 3:5,6 down the throats of its members lately.
i have no doubt that within the next couple of years it will be the year's text.
i noticed that in the september "public" watchtower, they equate higher education with the badness of illegal drugs, social websites, and fornication.

just another question since i was way.
i had about 1500 posts in this forum, that makes me a jedi master, but i just have seen that i'm supreme one(like many others with similar number of posts like me)...does anyone knows why this change?.
thanks guys.
I would usually go along w/ Satanus on this;
'xceptin' I read a post by Simon that said he was doing it on purpose & 'Enjoy'

i find it the height of cognitive dissonance that an apparently faithful jw feels that he/she can 'encourage' others to stay faithful, even while running ahead of jehovah's celestial yugo chariot.
i feel that an intervention is in order.
even while Running Ahead of Jehovah's CelestialYugoChariot.
1) Well, there's Kool-Aid and there's Kool-Aid...
2) This is just as mind-numbing as the official stuff.
3) Celestial Moped

this might be to our advantage re: wts lawsuits.

OK: so WTS busts Quotes for "selective" use, taking things "out of context"?
And this makes their religion look funny, embarrassingly so.
How ironic, since that is how they push their doctrines.
Best instance of "hoist on their own petard" ever, I would say!!!

what space does that leave for jehovah?
the theme text is 1 john 5:3 which refers to the un-burdensome commandments of god.
quite what that scripture has to do with authority is puzzling, as it talks about the love of god not jehovah's authority.
Infallibility of the Pope FDS. That looks like one more entry for my matrix of WTS copying Rome.

Sad to hear over Quotes.
The New York Times had a problem with a Mr. Sullivan: a low-life petty bureaucrat from Alabama, I believe. NYT criticized him for something or other. Sullivan sued; NYT stood their ground. All the way through the USSC: Sullivan vs. NYT is a precedent on "public figures" having to stand public criticism.
The question is: has WTS made "public figure" class? I would say so, even as much as they like the shadows.

at the bookstudy on thursday, one of the elders that is "investigating" me called on me to comment.
he didn't call on me to pray though.
afterward, he gave me a km.
Yes, you get used to all that attention.
Time to learn self-reliance. Maybe they did have a very weak case and were expecting to push the bluff to the max. But they're patient and expect that you will do something wrong or bolt and run. The worst thing for you to do is try to stick it out.
You are in the situation that the Russian dissidents used to get into: walk on the wild side and get noticed. Then you are watched forever and have done all you could ever do. You have to be a total straight arrow from now on. I wouldn't even try.
But put some distance between the rest of Dubs and yourself. Whether you want to leave or don't, shift gears and worry about yor future by refining or changing your career. It will keep you busy and sort of off their radar. Besides, you need the meal ticket. I turned career and moving into a real fade.

I mod'd this when somebody posted it (on this forum, I think) a long time ago. It originally had the lady holding a Bible w/ a cross; I morphed it into a WT.

I tried it from the post: some distortion, but acceptable.
Tell Abby that needs to be a website.
