1975
by musky inthere has been much said about the watchtower saying that the end would come in 1975. i have never seen any evidence that the watchtower said the end would definitely come in 1975. if there was such evidence, there would certainly be little or no witnesses left today, i believe.
i do not believe that excuses the fact that they definitely put that idea in peoples heads.
i was 10 years old then.

Which religeon is correct ?
by musky incan anyone name a religeon that is the correct one?.
my personal criteria would be: shouldnt celebrate holidays/ only study the bible, not publications with someones personal ideas/ people won't worry about dressing in exactly a particular manner, welcoming others personal thoughts on the interpretation of scripture even if it differs from others/ not demand money for membership.. any religeons like this?

realization
by musky ini just realized this today.
i started doubting the witnesses teachings about 16 years ago.
being raised a witness made it difficult to believe that this was not the truth.

Whats the cruelest thing a JW has eva done to you
by VioletAnai ini think the most thoughtless thing they eva did to me...and it's rather embarrassing...is when i was still a jw at 14.. i'd just had an operation to remove a cyst and my left ovary due to polycystic ovarian syndrome.
so i'm sitting at the district convention and i get up to go and have lunch with my mum cause i was sitting with an sister a little older than me - in her 20's.
so i start walking across the oval and there's people everywhere and i'm getting a few looks, but hey, i was a paranoid teen, they made me agoraphobic, so i didn't think too much of it.

Never Hire A Jehovah's Witness!
by Kent inif you are an employer, never hire a jehovah's witness.
the reason for this is simple: that mistake may cost you a lot of money!
you can bot expect a jehovah's witness to do what they are told to do, but you can expect them to do the oposite!

"Please, Is there really truth anywhere of...
by Shane ini want to know what truth" is if its out there some where surely god will guide me to find it, i don't want to die without honestly knowing for sure knowing i have found the so called "truth.
i have been stumbled by others and by my selfish ways.
in the words of the song "send me an angel," cause i sure need one.. maybe i am not of their sort as the bible says and as elders have labeled me, but i do want to live and exist somewhere, and see the light what ever and where ever it is.

Reflecting on real love
by Richie inreflecting back on the moments in the past when i was doing everything i could to please god in accordance with the society's standards and whatever my family and i did it was never really good enough - at least that's how i always felt: doing better the next time but inside of me a feeling of guilt and part-accomplishment and this happened on a constant basis even when i was serving as an elder.. after i was disfellowshipped i went back a couple of times; in fact i was disfellowshipped in my old congregation, but i started to go back later on to a different congregation in another kingdom hall (which i used to attend)where my daughter with her husband also attend.. there were in total 2 brothers who were happy to see me; one brother poked me softly in the back confirming his happiness that i came to visit the congregation, and a second brother gave me the thumbs up (ignoring the stern gaze of an elder) when i left the hall at the close of the meeting.
i must admit that these tiny acknowledgments of love and concern toward me were unexpected but they were nevertheless very much appreciated!
it showed a measure of respect that's due to a human and much more so due to a longstanding friend of many years before.
