Try looking up the "Ken Burns" effect for getting your photographs to become dynamic on a video editor...

Climate change and the WBTS.
by african GB Member inat this year's dc we heard the org's analysis on climate change and the deteriorating ozone layer.
we were told that jehovah will destroy those who destroy the earth, including those who chop down trees that are supposed to give oxygen in exchange for our carbon dioxide.. surely such a big corporation should have done a thourough research and found that they are also culprits.
they print millions, if not billions, of literature each year.

I am sure all organisations and businesses have a duty to report its environmental impact to the government. I wonder if it is published??

The Watchtower slams the Catholics, why not Islam?
by punkofnice ingiven that the wbt$ is always ready to insult the catholics and other religions why don't they slam islam in the same way?.
is it because it's not considered 'christian' or do they know that muslims won't take their insults?.
or do they and i just missed it?.

I think the WTBT$ would be too scared to publish anthing against them... Perhaps a letter to them asking what their beliefs are might stir things up??

Watchtower quote sent to atheist podcast service....
by trailerfitter inyes i am proud to say that i took the quotes from the watchtower literature calling apostates mentally diseased.
even if i am not an ex jw i see this as hate and a direct attack.
also one thing that made me feel sick was the boast about the watchtower providing cooler clean water to quench the thirst of their followers.

Yes I am proud to say that I took the quotes from the Watchtower literature calling apostates mentally diseased. Even if I am not an ex JW I see this as hate and a direct attack. Also one thing that made me feel sick was the boast about the Watchtower providing cooler clean water to quench the thirst of their followers. I added this in there to ensure the listeners get the idea of what the WT are really about.
"The Thinking Atheist" is run by a guy in the heart land of the USA called Seth. He was a christian for over 30 years and worked as a christian radio presenter. Now loosing his faith he has decided to keep spreading the truth about organisations especially cults. This sunday there will be podcast on cults so I am hoping he will read the WT stuff out on air. There are quite a few lurking christians that listen to that sort of stuff. Will post if successful.
Sorry if some don't agree with atheism...

The Value of a Godless World

A godless world? My life. I neither believe there is a god or think that is nesseccary to have a god in society. My life is rich and with purpose without a god to worship. I am kind and moral. I am creative. I love and feel. I enjoy life.
Religion poked its ugly head into our life in the form of the Jehovah Witnesses trying to destroy the peace I had created by growing up and understand my world and the people in it. Telling me that I must adhere to gods law or perish....Demanding that I must praise god in his glory..... why? Why should I fear it? NO I will not fear something that demands that of me. I am neither evil or in need of guidance. I do not want eternal life or believe in heaven. I beleive in a life where we learn our lessons and apply them. To better ourselves and challenge the weaknesses within ourselves.
Why does someone need a god that demandsto be loved??? Why do they love that god?,.... only 1 reason. forfillment of a promise. Selfish though it may be,. it is still only a promise which there is no proof of to the exsistance of its claims except through a book that was written thousands of years ago, debated, debunked, and finally not agreed on by 1/3 of the worlds population who, tell themselves that "the others" are wrong and they cannot see the truth because it is only their group that has the light!!!!
They would have themselves divided themselves so well it would be obvious to an outside onlooker that it can't be the "truth". I am sorry,.. it cannot be the truth.....Religion,......it is to delusionary to be that.
Sorry Rant over.

I have seen quite a bit on the internet about these when I was researching the JWs last year,..... a tip is to cashe your search and also look from google images too, you'll be surprised how good an image can yeild something.
There are scanned documents of ownership of the houses and phohtographs of Rutherford with his 12 cylinder car,... sorry I cannot recall the site names. I will if I come across them again post the links here.

From a non believers point of view YES. They way JWs treat me once they know I do not fall prey to their persausions do become somewhat cold in their responses. I know my wifes BS teacher doesn't like talking to me but does when my wife is in the room. The keeping up appearances is soon dropped when she is alone with me and I can feel her uncomfortable in that situation.

Member of Parliament's reply to my email regarding "Mentally Diseased" Watchtower
by Amelia Ashton inif i could offer my perspective.
issues around free speech are some of the most difficult.
balancing the right of someone being able to say what they want against the "harm" that might cause.

I think on reading that seeds have been sown and things like this people remember. If issues do indeed turn up again then this guy is going to remember you correspondance with him. He was aware of 2 aspects of the JWs,, he is not an expert but acnowledged that they are a cult. That is fact. Further educating the public will heighten resistance against them . From my earliest teenage years I knew they falsely predicted the end of the world. My mother mentioned it recently. ( she is 70 yrs old). I am seriously considering making a leaflet to distribute in my town,.. my wife is always trying to turn conversations around to the belief with her friends. I do not want to hear or see it in the house. After she called me Mentally diseased too ( this is recently) I knew where she had got the statement from....I feel stongly of subverting ever effort she makes to preach futile.
We learned how to make effective leaflets at college last year so not to hard to achieve...
