Seemed like I was reading the same sentences over and over.
Same here. I'm on a desktop computer, so it wasn't your portable device's fault.
because i haven't put in a single dime for over a year now in the box at the kh.
the usual custom is to put money in there right after the meetings.
but heck, i already spend so much in car fuel just to attend - i don't care really if the gb starves and dies.. oops.. anyway, do the elders take note who's donating and who's not?.
I handled accounts many years ago, and there were several who donated regularly, same amount, every month, by check. If those checks suddenly stopped it would be noticed - but only by the accounts servant, assuming he didn't inform others.
If you donate cash there is no paper trail, so not likely it would be noticed.
this is truly terrible.
i just love the statement "instead of eulogizing the deceased, use the material in this outline to give a fine witness concerning the truth.
" in other words, utterly disregard the deceased.

...this self aggrandizing marketing pitch...
That was perfectly put!
It's a shame that at every event, gathering, meeting, etc, Watchtower is on the never-ending sell, and they will do it with total disregard for the sanctity of human life.
tough to watch this whole video, the way he talks gets pretty annoying, especially after the rc hearings:.

go to around 8:20 where he gets into the pronunciation of jehovah.
It's puzzling that Watchtower would go with the popular pronunciation of the Divine name instead of the more correct one, but at the same time make a big deal out of something that doesn't matter at all, like whether Jesus died on a cross or stake.
Actually it's not that puzzling. Watchtower simply focuses on what they want people to think is important, but when a contradiction is pointed out on another topic they say that one doesn't matter.
It's pure manipulation of people's thinking I suppose.
the last edition of the watchtower (study edition) says the following:.
alexander the great later conquered much of the ancient world, and common, or koine, greek became an international language.
so, in this verse the septuagint was not god's word according to matthew.
Thus, the work of imperfect human translators became part of the inspired Word of God...
Now that is some really twisted logic. It can't be the work of imperfect men -and- the inspired work of God at the same time.
I think Data-Dog nailed it, they need a loop-hole for something and this is the set up for it.
so far in more recent times they have only been called to take the witness stand in court twice to my knowledge one was a no show in defiance to a court order in which he gave a sworn false statement to the courts claiming austrian citizenship.
and the other jackson who gave a terrible witness to the court full of lies and misleading statements.
all this shows how damaging their testimony is when brought before authorities who demand answers for their behavor and policies.. i personal hope for that day to come and have a gut feeling that we will be seeing a lot more of these guys called to court to explain their actions and impose big settlements over their not living up to their fiduciary duty toward children who have been molested by ministers(elders,ms, co, branch personal) they have appointed.
Penn State University - Jerry Sandusky Case
I recently watched a documentary on Netflix (entitled Happy Valley) regarding the Jerry Sandusky case. At the end it mentioned that several University officials would stand trial in 2015 for their part in covering up the Sandusky affair by not reporting it to the police.
Removed University President Graham Spanier is charged with several criminal counts for his part in the cover up.
The quote below is from the article here,
“Four days after Sandusky’s arrest in November 2011, he was out. Penn State’s board of trustees either dismissed Spanier or, as he contends, he resigned first. A year later, after Sandusky was convicted, Spanier, a sociologist whose academic background is in family and marital studies, was charged with eight criminal counts, including child endangerment, perjury and conspiring to cover up Sandusky’s crimes. The charges were as shocking in their own way as those brought against Sandusky. Spanier had ruled over an empire: about 45,000 students on a stately, sprawling main campus in State College; another 40,000 at locations around the state; an annual budget exceeding $4 billion. In order to protect the reputation of the university and its vaunted football program, according to the charges against him, he let a pedophile roam free.”
The similarities between the Penn State case and Watchtowers silence regarding it's own pedophiles is remarkable.
- Endangering children by not reporting to the authorities.
- Perjury (by elders who testified before the Australian Royal Commission, and perhaps others).
- Conspiring to cover up.
- Protecting the reputation of the University (or the Organization in the case of Watchtower).
- Letting pedophiles roam free.
hi all, been a while since i posted here.
i am in australia and heard paul grundy being interviewed by someone on abc radio in sydney.
it was good to put a voice to the guy on jw facts.
so last night i got to have some more fun at the meeting.. the serve us indoctrination session was thirty minutes of interrogation and answers about the "these words must be on your heart" video.. question three was, "what scriptural formula leads to the best chance of success in raising children?
" then before any answers the conductor had deut.

Sparrowdown, very funny!
i went through the original footage to get a good look at the watch.. from these pictures we can probably say that it is a apple watch and that it has a golden color.
the color on the pin is black, and the band is white, grey, silvery or beige.. .
the pin is in the exact place for it to be a apple watch.. only apple watch edition have the gold color.
It would be such a nice change if the Governing Body practiced what they preached, but just like Sophia's ice cream money they want ordinary Witnesses to give the Organization their fine jewelry, while they themselves not only wear theirs in public but seem to enjoy flashing it. Bling bling.
