  larc has an interesting thread going about why jw men choose to date (and beyond) worldly women in lieu of dating the seemingly overbundant supply of 'horny' sisters available.

  i recommend it.. it set me to thinking about yet another interesting phenomena in jwdom.

  that is the situation where the jw woman has, as a husband, a 'non-believer'.

  For the couple's I know I think the main reason to have a worldly spouse, either male or female is that there is a lot less pressure to attend meetings. No guilt at home.

  Michigan JWs Spinning LONGO Story To Lies

  it appears that the wts will "spin" the facts behind the longo story, so that the "reality" of his past, and the "negative reality" of "disfellowshipping and shunning" never be communicated to the general public.. bearing in mind that he was reared as the son of an elder, and may have once even been a ms himself, pay close attention to the wording used to describe longo's association with jws:.

  initially christian attended the kingdom hall with maryjane and the kids.. .

  also note the quote regarding possible "pastoral visits" and "meeting attendance".

  i went to my very first christmas party since i got stupid and got baptised a few years ago.

  i wasn't sure what to expect, after all these pagans are capable of anything, right?

  sooo i put on clean underware, just in case nudity or sex was involved.

  I'm inactive now and will stay that way, but, I was active when I went to H20. At first I thought I was defending the borg. Then I found myself wanting to get out of the borg so I defected and didn't return. Now that I'm a couple of years out I enjoy coming here to assoicate with people who actually understand what it was like being a member of the collective.

  I think most active JW's are just curious. After all they've been told to stay away from places like this. Others do want to "help" us to get back. But some, are here just to cause trouble. You Know comes to mind there.

  I'm not serious minded these days and I try to find a reason to enjoy life. I'm not as hung up about the WBTS as I once was. But many here have suffered greatly at their hands. Your heart has to bleed for them.

  Frenchy I'm sorry about your friend. Yes that's a pic of me taken a couple of months ago. Glad to say I'm pretty healthy these days.

  It's probably just as you say Frenchy, an attempt to encourage me back in. But I think all us trying to fade away get paranoid at times.
