It was never one doctrine but one after another, I became THOUGHROUGHLY conviced that God has nothing to do with this organization, and once that fact was realized, the rest came crumbling down. The flip-flopping doctrines, ridiculous control over individuals lives, and so many other things became wrong, I am now mentally "out".

Was it the doctrine or the control that woke you up?
by Evidently Apostate ineven though i knew some of the doctrines were so convoluted they couldnt be genuine, every prophecy mentioned in the bible was simplistic and direct i still felt it was the best place to raise a family.
i felt like i could ignore the hypocrisy, manipulative and fake personalities and still have true friends and unbreakable family bonds.
even though my concience would bother me i would always try to forgive.

I was born-in. I am SO mentally out but as my name suggests, I'm still stuck in for my family. I never know when my situation will take a turn for the worse if my family finds out about my "apostacy". I still hold mikes and handle stage responsibilites, and RBC work, but I will not step out for even a shred or more resposibilities.
CoC was my big wake-up call and the beginning of my research. I've learned more about the Borg in the past few months than I have learned in 20 years.

why JWs doesn't celebrate birthday?
by vientotz ini'm so curious, why they're not celebrating their birthdays?
is it just because jesus don't celebrate it and it's not written in the bible that they celebrated the birthday of jesus?
or is it written in the bible not to celebrate birthday?

There are some great sites that will help you in your decision. Get a copy of the Watchtower library so you can have access to their more "recent" publications that way you can see THEIR side.
Then visit some sites from former members that will help you to see what the JW's will not allow you to see. Remember that witnesses in the religion will not allow you to do any research outside of their own publications so it's best to do it now while you have the opportunity. Here are some sites:
http://www.sixscreensofthewatchtower.com/
This was also, I feel, a great thread showing the control that JW's have over their members, even if they don't know it:
http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/beliefs/91207/1/Cults-Steven-Hassans-BITE-model
See everything objectively. If you still feel unsure, once you have learned more about their terminology, like the Governing Body, the Annointed, etc, read Crisis of Consicence by Ramymond Franz. Ray Franz was at the VERY top of the organization, a former member of the Governing Body. He explains what the vast majority of JW's do not know about, considering many blindly accept whatever is handed to the by the GB.
Best of luck is your search!!! :)

Thank Bangalore for this info from JW's =) but I want your own reasons and experienced to share it with me. I don't want to refer it from any publications or man made written basis-- (pls understand my english im not good in speaking english =)
Bangalore: First off, nice to meet you and welcome to the forum! :) Moving on....If your purpose is to understand why the JW's believe the way they do, it of utmost importance that you hear their own line of reasoning straight from their own published material, whether you believe it or not. That way, if anyone challenges you as to why you you can't accept their line of reasoning, at least you know full well what their line of reasoning is. Then you can begin to counter it.
Personal exeriences are also great as you mentioned because they help you to understand how they operate. This point regarding b-days is something I would suggest mentioning to your BS conductor. See what their response is and see if that makes any sense to you. REmember, on the off chance that you ever became a witness, you would be forced to accept this teaching or be shunned by everyone inside.

Is the Oct 30 WT study a Prelude to a Tithing towards the Soc.
by Quarterback init felt weird discussing this topic this week about this term, "share" of the levites.
.
some made comments that alluded to the financial assistance that we are currently doing towards sponsoring the bethels around the world.. i wouldn't be surprised that a new thought comes out soon about that ten percent rule.. .

Something funny I saw that made me think...
by OneDayillBeFree ini was at the store the other day and as i was getting ready to pay, a baby no older than 3 years old came running out of nowhere and stopped, looked at me and sat down.
it was the weirdest thing as i saw no mother or father in sight... then i looked closer at the shirt the baby was wearing and it made me laugh but at the same time left me thinking.
soon after that a woman appeared yelling her baby's name and looking everywhere.

I just had JWs come to my door

i ddn't go to the door.
i avoid them when at all possible.

It's funny how an "apostate" thought from a former witness is so detrimental to another's spirituality, Satan-like, infectious, etc. But if that EXACT thought comes from someone else(whether they did research or not), its "though-provoking", truth-seeking, etc

Were witnesses so only the spanish congragation, who pay zero attention to their cards, actually come to our door. Our last name is cruz so they feel the need to come I guess. Personally, I would just not open the door. Or mention a single "apostate" thought and they will never be there again.

Are JW's allowed to be bartenders?
by stillstuckcruz inmy brother(ms) just got a job at a hotel and mentioned to my mother that they may train him to be a bartender.
she said that we(jw's) are not allowed to do so.
is this in any of the publications?

But how could a person professing to be a Christian serve as chauffeur for a gang of bank robbers?
^LOL!!! I have never seen that before. How many people would ACTUALLY get involved whatsoever with a gang of bank robbers. Even by "worldy" standards, thats a terrible situation

So anyone here went to the Zone Visit meeting?
by stillin9 inwell, i was considered spiritual enough (lol) to be given a red badge that said "special meeting, united states branch zone visit" on it!
what a privilege!
all excited, i counted down (not really but you know) to the day the meeting was going to be held on, which was the 22nd.

I would imagine it produced about as much hype as the "new light" for the 2011 DC. What a dud THAT turned out to be.
You must be putting on quite the show to be picked for the meeting. Are you an elder or something? I would NEVER be picked for such a "privelege". In FS a few weeks ago, one of my favorite elders told me I wasn't being considered for any more responsibilities in the congregation at the moment because I was doing the bare minimum to get by. As you can imagine, I was quite devastated at that. lol
