Sign of the Last Days THEN!
by JanH inthe last days in the 14th century
all through recorded history there have been people who have pointed to the calamities, horrors and disasters in the world, and preached that this signified an imminent end of the world.
this isnt even unique to christianity, which started off with strong millennial expectations in the 1st century, and for the most part retains the same expectations almost 2000 years later.

Fred Franz, still alive and running the show.
by sleepy infred franz, still alive and running the show.
how so?no he's not been ressurected and taken to heaven to direct gods affairs on earth.but it is his bible that forms the basis for what witnesses believe and teach.
many people point to franz as the sole author of the new world translation (with help from others) he decided how "gods inspired word" should read to people today.what is truth and what is false in the witness mind is all down to fred franz.

by Olympiad inestablished kingdom
this verbiage has always been of interest to me, established kingdom, however we should remind our watchtower friends that it can not be found in the bible, any bible that i am aware of.
it is the basis however for the new message preached by jehovahs favored few.

how does Jehovah rationalize Babel?
by SpiderMonkey ini'll try to keep this concise... this is an issue i never got an answer to, from the elders or any witness, on my way out of the "truth":.
jws believe that god permits evil to answer the "age-old challenge from satan the devil," that man can't rule himself without god, correct?
(please correct me if i'm wrong).

WAR & RUMORS OF (NUCLEAR) WAR
by You Know ina question for all to consider is: if pakistan and india go nuclear, as seems to becoming more likely by the day, how long will civilization be able to stay intact without completely unraveling, and during that interval will ridiculers be able to maintain the delusion that nothing out of the ordinary is happening in the world?
/ you know.

Who really is the faithful and discreet slave?
by lv4fer ini was talking to my dad last night and i told him that there is no "organization" that jehovah uses directly.
he quoted this scripture and said "well then who is this talking about" i read the scripture and i have to say i am a bit puzzled.
if it doesn't say what the jw's say (not that i'm saying they are it) then what does this scripture refer to?
