What is the role of the rest of the Anointed,please ?
by Phizzy ini am a little confused, i have to admit it is laziness/nausea, i cannot make myself read the latest rag that spews out the new shite, but my question is, what is the future role of the rest of the anointed ?.
if the fds, which now consists of a handful of men, is going to be "appointed over all jesus' belongings" are the rest of the anointed not only redundant now, but into eternity too ?.

new light on FDS and 1914
by inbetween inthe society claims now, that before 1914/1919 there was no fds, this means also, russel was not part of it, he was not the channel from god.. then the calculation for 1914, which russel made popular and promoted, was done in a time, when god revealed actually nothing, does this prepare the way to finally dump 1914 chronology ?
approaching the 100 year anniversary for christs supposed rulership, it becomes anyway more and more ridicolous.. i know, some argue 1914 is essential for their being chosen 1919, but now they say, they are somehow not appointed over the belongings yet, so also this aspect looses significance.
and the inspection of the temple can begin anytime anyway, it was convinient to link it to 1914 but i think its not really necessary.

I said in another thread that this is the beginning of getting rid of the 1914 teaching. Think of all the crap they wrote in the WT maz. and books on this subject and non of it has come true. So as time goes by even more new light connected to this new light will real that 1914 means nothing at all. Just another year in the history of mankind. They are very, very, very good at lying. Sex before marriage would eliminate a lot of unhappy marriages in the Borg...
by sinis insensible, safe sex, in my opinion, should be engaged in.
because, as you get older and are ready to settle down, you will look at your potential sole mate, not for sexual reasons, but for what they have to offer mentally and if they are compatible.
when religion restricts this, and yuo must marry to have sex, i believe that you doom a marriage at the outset, because these young folks marry out of lust, only to have the rose colored blinders pulled off later, and regret the entire arrangement... .

Young adults who are in the cult tend to get married way to young. The reason is no sex until you are married. So many for all the wrong reasons get married. Think how the cult controls young people from early teens all the way into their adulthood on sex. It is no wonder there are so many problems in the WT cult over sex. Totally ADD

Are you more ecological, more economical or more wasteful? Did your habits change at all when you left the borg?
by likeabird ini know from living on a borg budget, you don't have much choice but to live economically.
recycling, while ecological, can also be a form of economy.. did the verse "god will bring to ruin those ruining the earth" play a guilt factor in your ecological habits?
i know it used to hum along in the back of my mind.. did any of your habits change when you left the borg?

One of the last congregations we was in we were the only ones who recycled, composted and garden. One elder told me we don't need to do any of that because god was going to make all things new again. Didn't a recent WT or Awake bring out if you are enviromentally active you are supporting satan system? I quess I am supporter of satan system. Totally ADD

Your own mortality, how do you cope with it?

i've always had some annoying doubts but brushed it aside but over the last few years i've had time to "think" away from the wt.
perhaps there is no paradise, maybe no god and this life is all there is.

Welcome CookieMonster. I understand why you feel that way. I think all of us at one time or another had to come to terms with this question. For myself and this is being in bondage for 57 years to the WT and being out for two years now. I am working on helping other people through community gardens. I work hard at really listening to what others have to say. I work hard at being kind and welcoming to all I meet. I try to make the best of everyday I have left on this earth. I feel if everyone did this instead of waiting for a magic tea cup from the sky to fix everything. This earth would be a better place to live. You have many years left on the earth. Make the best of them. Totally ADD

Very sad to see she died of MS. Not many people know my wife and me took in a brother with MS into our house and took care of him for 15 years until he died back in 2010. Even though he was older than my wife and I he called us mom and dad. The first 10 years was relative easy care but as the MS progressed it was a 24/7 care for him. He died at our home in front of us. It took a long time for us to get over it. It was like losing a child. We still think about him everyday and those who still deal with that disease. The horrible thing about it all was at the furneral where the witnesses could not understand why my wife and I was hurt by his passing. All they could tell us was now you can get to the meetings and go out in service more. Their lack of love and concern for us was really eye opening. It helped us to really see the WT was truly a cult. Totally ADD
