Watchtower Idiot
by Vidiot indont wanna be a watchtower idiot.dont wanna be some door-knocking dipshit.can you imagine the things that they go through?public embarrassment trying to convert you.. but now the times, they seem to be changing, loyalty oaths and doctrine-rearranging,debit machines and refurbished kingdom halls...real estate and investment speculation, psas about deaf masturbation, barely recognize it at all!.
dont wanna check out the shiny new website, dont need to hear a homophobic soundbite, rhetoric that justitfies the shun gun, propaganda, or cheezy animation.. underneath theyre still shallow and shoddy, idolizing the governing body, convinced that theyre still better than the rest...forget the suicidal depression,or all the profits from bloodless medicine, just listen, obey, and be blessed!.
in the end, what goes around comes around, its all exposed as a pedophile playground, and when theyre busted for cover-ups and lying, i wouldnt wanna be them for anything.. coming down to the end of the page, all thanks to the information age, public humiliation, one and all....its gotta be the great tribulation,so head to warwick for permanent vacation, either way, the writings on the wall!.

JWs as described by Cracked
by Vidiot inhttp://www.cracked.com/blog/4-religions-youve-got-all-wrong-because-hollywood/.
the article describes four different religions (rastafari, jws, amish, and scientology); jws are #3.. the jw entry is pretty accurate (and as usual, funny), but surprisingly doesn't mention the two-witness-rule-related legal troubles the wt has been having lately.

Be careful...
by Vidiot ini don't think hes dropped a link to it here yet, but cedars has a new blog post up at jwsurvey:.
http://jwsurvey.org/cedars-blog/close-ranks-against-satan-watchtower-prepares-witnesses-for-2014-disappointment.
its title and content are pretty self-explanatory, and as always, its a fine piece of writing, but one section in particular stuck out to me; the part titled reaching out to inactive ones, and it summarizes the apparent desire of the wts to bring wayward sheep back into the fold.. cedars finds it naive and deluded on the wtss part that it would risk having active jws come into more contact with faders, particularly since faders become faders primarily because theyve discovered the truth about the truth.... ...and hes right; if the wts a genuinely and sincerely reaching out to them, it would be naive and deluded.. .

A connective thread...
by Vidiot ini'd been doing some thinking a bit about the old organ-transplant ban, lately, and something occurred to me.... despite what some may feel, i think it's pretty obvious that the gb's decisions are dictated by pragmatic, real-world circumstances for more than any other factor.
a while back someone here (can't remember who) suggested that transplants might have been re-labeled a "conscience matter" because a gb member or his relative urgently needed one at the time, and for some reason, this idea stuck in my head.. its been a fairly well-documented fact that there were a small number of jws who had died because they dutifully obeyed the transplant ban prior to its lifting in 1980. not many, mind you; the reason being is that historically, far fewer individuals have needed transplants compared to those who have needed transfusions (emergency or otherwise).. as few and far between as those instances were, there had to have been at least some blowback in the years following that re-label; america is, after all, a pretty litigious society compared to the rest of the world (no offense).
xjws know more than most, however, that lawsuits end with settlements far more often than they do with verdicts; it saves time, legal fees, but more importantly, it minimizes bad pr for higher-profile plaintiffs.. how much of a stretch is it to suggest that - at the time - the wts' lawyers pragmatically advised the gb to discretely settle out-of-court with any of those possible litigants; particularly specifying confidentiality clauses?.
