Congratulations.
I met the happy couple earlier this year in Dallas and they are certainly nice, friendly and seemed to be happy at that time. However, she has got to be the most beautiful "goat" I've ever seen in my life time. Hope this is the start of a long and happy marriage with many children, (if you want them.)

Shame On All of You
by DakotaRed inall week long, much has been done here that could rip silentlambs apart.
pat garza has faced ridicule and scorn, bill bowen is now also being drug about by his short hairs over his letters by all you arm chair attorney's who haven't contributed an iota of what he has or placed yourselves anywhere near harm's way as he has.
all i can say is i'm damned ashamed of all of you and i'm through with this shit!!!!!.

Whoa back Red, calm down, take a deep breath. This is an open forum and there are some disgruntled folks who will question everything, including rather or not the sun will come up in the morning. If it does come up they will say it doesnt come up in the east.
Having said all of that you are a very good advocate for reason and your insight is beyond reproach, so please dont leave because of a few %&"$$%$. OK ???

BLACKMAIL question
by lisaBObeesa ini have been having thoughts.
(i know, i was shocked, too, heheheheheheh) please give me some input, because this keeps going around in my crazy little head .
you want to leave the jws, but you are told you are free to leave, but you will be announced as da and you will loose all contact with your family, because they will believe you have done something very very bad.

Yes it's blackmail, but your post does bring up an interesting question: how many are still active because they are being blackmailed?? This is also a good argument to use in conversations with the faithful.

JW Youth killed in car accident in Ohio
by mamashel inthis story made me cringe.
my daughters boyfriend (who is no longer in) and her came over sunday to tell me the news of a young boy we knew from a previous hall we attended.
he was about 19 or 20 years old.. my daughter said that his dad had just recently kicked him out of the house because they felt he was going against jehovahs will.

I was also having trouble following "house rules" when I was 19 so I joined the Air Force. I damn well learned to follow the rules, in a hurry. It just takes a little encourgement. Bill

Wrong ASSumptions from apostates

anyone that posts against them they assume is defending the society.. i'm neutral towards the society.
i don't defend it nor do i attack it.

Ease up guys, you are trying to convince a Watchtower zombie. The WTS puts what they want him to know thru a funnel in the top of his head and that crap comes out of his mouth. Talk to the nearest wall, you will have a more intelligent conversation.

how did you guys do it?
by Realist ini have to say i admire everyone who was strong enough to leave the wt organization.
alone these horrible stories about armageddon must scare the hell out of everyone who was brought up with it or who was in the org for several years.
hell even to me they sound really frightning and i don't believe in this nonsense.. secondly you loose most of all of your friends!.

Blondie
That song was written by Hank Williams who died in the early 50's, at the age of 29, of drug and alcohol abuse. Apparently he never really saw the light, but that doesn't detract from the powerful words of the song. Nice to find someone here in my age group.
