There is much proof that humans are on this planet for way longer than 6000 years. That is a proven fact.
Further there is no proof whatsoever that Adam & Eve or any other couple of "perfect people with prospects of eteranl life on the earth" have ever lived on the earth. There is no proof for a worldwide flood 4500 years ago. For me there is nothing true in the bible until the appearance of Abraham. That does not mean I do no respect the bible. It still is a great resource to use in everyday's life. But I do not believe in the Genesis fairy tales any more.

… What does it reflect about your tolerance?, does it show you respect other people’s view and you can accomodate dissenting opinions?. The same accusation you levied on the watchtower for smashing you out of their brainwashing centres(Kingdom hall), is what you may be indicted of if care is not taken. Would you feel comfortable doing thesame to other members here?. Please think twice.

Conclusion: I am afraid you need a good look in the mirror, my friend. It us not us who lack respect and dignity, it is yourselves. The hypocrisy and lies are lying in layers on your computer screen, you claim to promote one thing, and you do the entire opposite in the next few hours . If there is one thing I hate about persons in the society, then it is this constant searching for prominence of young elders, it is soooooo disgusting. You are a handbook example. Step down from your ivory tower, because You have hurted and are hurting other people, and you don't even realize it. You are the examplar product of the society's school system: stupid and ignorant, a head full of useless bagage, with an ego as high as the Eiffel tower, with the social skills of a dinosaur. by Witness 007 inon sundays study we were always told to keep answers brief and from the paragraph as some brothers would add "other meterial" to their comments.
the "correct" answer is right there in the paragraph.
read question --------find answer in paragraph------underline/highlight------read related {not] scripture-----raise hand---give answer from paragraph as though it's your own thought.

Fact is, if you have to rephrase something and reproduce it in front of a group, you will make it your own. So it definitely has an effect on our opinion. it definitely is an influencing technique like many others.

What really ended the book study in private homes?
by Alfred init's been over 3 years since the book study in private homes was discontinued and some jws are still scratching their heads over it.
although a letter was read to all congregations explaining that "book study night" would now be "family worship night", there was still much speculation among jws as to the real reason behind this decision (the great tribulation was about to start, jehovah was simplifying the lives of jws, to lessen the burden of poor jws who had no money for gas, etc.)...
but as we all know, decisions like these from the gb invariably have some ulterior motive behind it... and discussion boards such as this one usually finds a way to dig up the truth for all to see... but after reading several threads on this subject, i'm really not sure we've uncovered all the facts yet.... so i have to ask... what do you believe really ended the book study in private homes?

- Less books for studying have to be written. As the writing dept. is lacking inspiration, it helps if you have to write less.
- Many elders felt their lives overburdened and resigned. This is one of the major reasons.
- Bookstudy's were often a reason for people to complain. Quite a few people were not happy about the place or the group they had to go to. a major headache for quite a few congregations.
- the lack of social contact that was a result of removing the bookstudy, was known beforehand. So I would think it was on purpose that they removed that one. Otherwise they could have removed the other weekly meeting night in the KH. This also takes away the "Gas price reason". If they really were concerned about transportation costs, they'd keep the bookstudy, as it usually was closer to everybody's home. The KH is further away for most.
The removal of the bookstudy together with the introduction of a separate study watchtower, are the 2 top recent most negative developments in the organization. It is great for faders though. If you want to drop of the radar, way easier to do that in a group of 80 than in a group of 15. And because of the colder climate since then, more people lack the personal connection and leave.

Typical for JW, hanging on the last strands of their faith. Most of us have been there, but not for long. He is wrong about it any anyway. Life is so much better without the Organization.

Are you sure leaving the JW religion has made your life better?. Lurkers think twice
by mankkeli inon this forum, i have carefully read most of the experiences of those who left the jw religion, i have even read experiences that have dated back to 2001, i have read the different circumstances surrounding their exits and what ensued upon leaving.
for the majority, i observed they are better remainning in the religion than leaving.
what benefit is there to strain family relationship because you want to be free?, please tell me, of what value is that freedom?,.

my pure motive is to keep lurkers away from information intended to undermine the credibility of the borg.
why should the truth not come out? Is not everybody entitled to know what is really there? What are you afraid of? Knowing the truth will only improve your life and give you the possiblity to make correct decisions in life.
I am so happy that I got this chance! Life can only improve if you remove a big unnecessary burden in your life.
to answer your question, as have many others before me:
I am very sure that leaving the JW religion has made my life and the life of my family better!

You forget that this was written about people living in the 1st century. Reconnect with the 21st.
However if something if these things are applicable, then they are also applicable to you. Things like:
"haughty, self-assuming, inventors of injurious things, ..., without understanding, ..., merciless." You know nothing about us, however you feel free to judge. Watch out mate: the way you judge others, you will be judged too...
And about Gods Kingdom, that was already installed long time ago, it is not drawing close. (Jesus referred to it)
And even if it would, you will not find in the Jehovah's Witnesses organisation.
