Especially when you consider that for many questioning Jws this site may be the first they click on. If it looks to be mostly a political place then they may just click out again and who knows if they will click elsewhere to get the help they need?
This is not a bad point actually.
I'm not so sure. This is, after all, an ex-JW site. Once you get past the idea that an all powerful being is going to organize life for you, politics becomes much more relevant. It matters to ex-JWs infinitely more than current members.
The argument above posits that the ex-JW community should keep the conversion less scary to active JWs, lest they see the frightening political speak and run back to the organization. In other words, we shouldn't be free here because of the WTBTS' hold over us through others. Fork that.
