I thought this would be "obvious", but apparently ...
by Simon inif you want to share a conspiracy video that is going to be removed by youtube, maybe sharing a link to a copy that is hosted on youtube isn't the best plan.. who knew?!.
social media is no longer the platform to use for controversial, alternative or "wrong think" opinions.. host it if you feel strongly about it, but don't keep posting "this video has been removed" links, it's a waste of everyone's time..

I’ve listened to several anti-vaccination advocates. They still have a lot of explaining to do to convince me. The historical record of vaccines itself seems like an incredible burden of proof to overcome.
One thing for sure - they should not be banned. Let them at least make their argument. I’m not an expert on viruses. So if what she is saying actually is a pile of steaming crap, then banning her views, without responses from those who claim she is incorrect, only seems to add credibility to her position.

Comment on BBC News web site
by BoogerMan in"i've just been told by a nurse just off shift that 6 wards were put aside for cv19 at ninewells hospital in dundee and that only one is being used.
also that the virus is being put as cause of death on almost every death...including one male patient who died of cancer who tested positive but had no effects.
so bear that in mind, and this is genuinely what i've been told what is going on.".

This is has been reported in NY for some time now. A month ago the NYC COVID death count jumped a few thousand in one day. Come to find out that they added deaths in general to the COVID count without even testing. They get some federal funds per case, setting a perverse incentive for these shenanigans.

What Do You Think Of Fining People For Not Wearing A Mask?
by minimus insome towns in massachusetts are fining people 1000 dollars for not wearing a mask 😷 outdoors.
starting wednesday, the governor mandates everyone from 2 years of age up, must wear a mask or get a 300 dollar fine!.
of course some governors are recommending that you rat out anyone that doesn’t follow their orders.. i don’t like it!👎🏿.

Coronavirus Positive
by snare&racket inhey all,.
i'm day six of isolation, confirmed to have coronavirus.
i have been seeing very sick cv positive patients over the last month in my a&e role (emergency physician) it was inevitable i would contract it.. just wanted to give some symptom and treatment advice, it's anecdotal but may help.. started as sore throat and headache, then croaky voice, then dry cough, then episodic transient fevers, all this over the first few days.

Right, but on the previous page, the posts inquiring about his real name so that, perhaps, a welfare check could be called in, were posted 5 days ago. When people were really worried about him, he was gone for just two days.
I'm not saying we shouldn't care... not at all. If S&R is out there, I hope he checks in. My point is that it wasn't like he was gone for 20-30 days (like the previous posts were implying). You can see Zing was referenced. They were really worried. I am just saying, it is not as bad as they thought just by looking at the post history.
*BUMP FOR S&R*

You can click on his username, then on the “posted” link (below the threads started link) to see his posts ordered descending by date, and see he was posting 7 days ago. He just didn’t visit this thread.

The power is like a drug to these people. Literally, it lights the brain up like crack cocaine. They won’t stop. They will destroy everything, anything for the fix. Ultimately, the only way out of this is to rip the power away, put them back in the corner, force them through “rehab”.

Do You Think It’s Time For Businesses To Reopen Even Though Coronavirus Is Not Obliterated?
by minimus ini think it’s time for business to reopen and let’s get the economy going again!
.
what say you??

The economic effects, I fear, are underestimated. It’s not so simple when things shut down. Business still have costs even when idle... some inventories are time sensitive.

The Fundamental difference between Islam and Christianity
by ILoveTTATT2 inever since i came out of the witnesses, i've become very political.. i've heard lots of arguments back and forth for many things.. in the u.s. there is the argument that it is "racist" to want to deny entry to muslims.
while there is freedom of religion, there is also the very valid concern of maintaining democracy and a justice system that is based on modern values.we as exjw's constantly quote the pew center for statistics on jw's such as: they are last place in the us for members of a religion that go to university, and second-last for poverty levels of members of a religion.
we accept those statistics and mention them as proof of how damaging the jw's are.now, let's use the same center for some very scary statistics on islam:http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/07/22/muslims-and-islam-key-findings-in-the-u-s-and-around-the-world/.

Mohammed was a pedophile psychopath. Islam is a shit stain on humanity. Anyone trying to con people that islam is "peaceful" is a lying cunt.
One thing we know for sure, Simon is not pulling any punches. Good lord.

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread
by Simon inthis topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.
latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

It doesn't though, it's clearly worse. I suspect you are not comparing like-for-like which is something lots of people are doing.
What do you mean by that? I am referencing the several studies recently released - one from Stanford, one from USC, and the other (I think) was from NYC on delivery room mothers (they were getting tested no matter what as they came in to deliver). The Standford study had the death rate around 0.1% - 0.2%. That is nearing the death rate for the flu (0.1%). When I said it is "looking quite a bit 'like the flu'", I was referencing these studies. Now, these studies could be shown to be incorrect as time goes by. But for now, the death rate is curving down toward flu-like rates.
This is largely because 1) with more testing the studies are finding a 50 to 80 times more people infected, but aren't symptomatic at all, and 2) governments are fudging the number of deaths. So the numerator is shrinking and the denominator is growing.
The rate if contagion, however, seems much higher than the flu.
When someone says: "Can we finally put the “it’s like the flu” nonsense to rest?", it bothers me. We should be able to talk about it. If one study comes out with a revised death rate, that might be a "hmmm" moment. Two? Three? All giving the same reasons why the numbers shift?
So when you say "it is clearly worse" if we compare "like-to-like", what do you mean? In what way are you comparing? Are you referring to the potential to cause a system collapse (like Italy), then yes, that is true. But neither of us is incorrect at that point.
