i've seen many topics about how things are changing or might be changing in jw doctrine/culture.
some have extrapolated how those changes would result in declining jw membership.
i'm curious to know what changes others think would stabilize those numbers.
They would have to make it interesting and urgent again.
The only way to do that is a good old fashioned end time prediction... something like 2050... or better yet, some odd number like 2047. And they would have to back it up with some sort of creative chronology.

I worry about those who have the guns to start a war. You know who those are. They voted for Trump in big numbers.
The statists are afraid of an armed populace.... never saw that coming.

Yes, it was. I was merely expressing what I would hope to see. Government back in box, states have the soverenty to leave without economic or military action.
and that happened in many of the last, close elections. wait, it could get worse when people start voting along purely ethinc, religious and not only ideological lines
Yes, it shouldn’t be allowed to get worse. Shrink government. But that probably won’t happen...

The country is divided because the government is too large. The stakes are high. You win an election and suddenly large portions of the population freak out - maybe rightly so! - because people they don’t like have power to unduly influence their life.
That is why, regardless of who wins the Presidency, Congress, or who get appointed to the Supreme Court, I want a convention of the states. There is a provision in the Constitution for it, and it would put the government back in its tiny little box.
I would be perfectly happy with dissenting states leaving the union if they so choose. I would also want **no economic retaliation** for doing so.

Normally I'm against conservative justices as liberal ones give us more rights.I think you are confusing “rights” and “entitlements”.

Wow. Amazing. But, to me, it really sounds like they were on something. I mean they were hearing screams and seeing ashes. Pepper spray had no effect on them... amazing.

honestly i feel like we are seeing the tip of the iceberg in regards to lawsuits on child abuse.
to me it looks like the property sell offs are to be able to get ready for this.
What the Society needs is a good ol’ fashion, tried and true, end time prediction.
