A whole book could probably be written on this subject, but the one that comes to mind is Colossians 1:15-17, inserting "other" into the text 4 times so it wouldn't look like Jesus is uncreated, i.e. God.

The Power Of Unconditional Love
by 1234 inthe most powerful love in the universe is unconditional love.. a love that has no requirements or conditions.
no actions are necessary to receive it.. this love is all around us and can be easily seen.
watch any mother with its new born baby.

As we know, in the WT world, it's all a loyalty and endurance test-- us versus them, where you constantly have to choose whose side you're on.

Resolution passing with zoom
by jonahstourguide inhi folks.. i put this in practices as i thought that appropriate.
perhaps it should be in scandalous behavior.
not a big deal but an example of the cult-ish intimidation and behavior.. at the end of this mornings short wt review prior to the convention brainwash by jackson, ( melbourne australia) the elder stated "brothers we have a resolution to present to the congregation".

Do You Think the Federalist System in the US Gives States too Much Power?
by RubaDub inas time goes on, i keep rethinking this whole thing about states' rights here in the us.
the more i think about it, i think less states' power may be a way to reduce some of the craziness going on.. as mentioned on another thread, you can't even drive now into some states without them checking your license tag where you are from so you have have to be quarantined.
states such as georgia are pretty much wide open.

Historically, it's not a matter of the States being "given" powers.
The States existed as separate sovereign countries until they ceded specific, limited powers to the federal government in 1787 in the Constitution.
The Tenth Amendment makes clear that all powers not ceded exclusively to the federal government nor explicitly denied to the States by the Constitution belong to the States or to the people.
Instead of saying, "Where does it say in the Constitution that the federal government can't do such-and-such?" the real question is, "Where does it say in the Constitution that the federal government CAN do such-and-such?"

If the WT isn't a false prophet, then there is no such thing.
Who has erroneously predicted dates for the end more than the WTS?

GB teaching - Gays and Lesbians will be resurrected as Gays and Lesbians
by Listener inthe final talk of the saturday afternoon online convention is given by lett, sporting a creepy looking combover, which for some reason, looks creepier than normal.
he talks about how those resurrected will need to come into line with a new moral code otherwise they will be destroyed.
he uses an example of gay people having to turn away from their inclinations even though they may feel that they are perfectly acceptable.. this demonstrates that the gb feel that being gay is a taught behaviour rather than an imperfect unnatural desire, otherwise they would be growing out of that desire as they develop towards perfection, as they teach.

"Now in the case of one raised from the dead to earthly life, the sinful record for which he was condemned to death no longer stands against him. Like one released from imprisonment, he has the opportunity to conform to law. Nevertheless, the resurrected one is still the same human. His death produced no change in him as to personality and sinful inclinations. By resurrection he did not become a perfect human, free from all effects of sin and imperfection inherited from Adam. He was not declared righteous because of dying. As in the case of an ex-convict, he must put forth diligent effort not to succumb to his fleshly weaknesses. He must start in, as it were, where he left off in life and take full advantage of God’s provisions for everlasting life on earth." -- WT 10/1/1974, Questions from Readers, pp. 607-608
So the WT teaches that those who are resurrected will be raised with all the same sinful inclinations and desires they had the moment they died.
This would include not just things sexual but also things like lying, hypocrisy, pride, greed, covetousness, selfish ambition, and the like.
This would seem to me to mean that the millennial kingdom as described by the WT would hardly be a paradise.

JW.org Focus on the Past - Have Always Wondered?
by JWTom injust curious of others thoughts.....while watching the latest round of convention videos with my pimi wife it was highlighted again in the content how much the wt org.
has always focused on the past (in my opinion).
many of the historical events that are highlighted as significant are from 100+ years ago in some cases.

Maybe that's because every time they try to predict the future they get it wrong.
