Today's Puzzler: Why did the SUV just stay there?

on my morning commute today in a residential area, there was an suv driving in the same lane i was in, but about a block ahead of me.

the suv pulls over just past a bus stop where a young lady is already waiting for a bus.

the suv lets off a passenger who starts walking back to the bus stop.. .

I definitely didn't object to time wasting witnessing toward the end. I would also "place" magazines in the garbage and count them as placements. Probably, should have at least recycled them!

"What a complete waste of time, gas and energy".

Even when I was "in", I thought about that a lot. I've often wondered if someone did a comparative study of the different religions' carbon footprints, what would they find?

My guess is the JW's would be on or very near the worst. Just think of all the paper products, toxic printing chemicals, fuel used driving in f.s. and driving to assemblies and conventions.

The Watchtower likes to point their finger at the rest of religions grand buildings in a negative way, but these buildings generally last for hundreds of years. On the other hand, your average Watchtower building is either remodeled or replaced every 15-20!

the year once 1983 and the brother who use to study the bible with me drove by and had a full on "charles manson" looking facial hair and beard.

i asked tina, a friend what's up with him?

tina was 19 and a hot red-head woman who was partially in the religion but had problems with fornication.

My wife likes my facial hair (except when it's at the "sandpaper" stage).

It's an outward symbol of my non-dedication to the Watchtower Corp..

It freaks many Watchtowerites out.

No more ingrown hairs.

Warm face in the wintertime.

As has been mentioned already...because I can!

richard tells the story of bo juel jensen, an ex-witness who has been doing marvellous work in raising awareness of watchtower child abuse mishandling in norway.. as with most child abuse victims, bo's story is a disturbing one.

I think that what you are doing is very important.

Even though for the most part these watchtower documents are boring as hell, making them public is a real blow to their hold over people. If nothing else it's a symbol of their loss of power due to the internet.

Of course, there are gems that are not boring, like the October 1 letter...
