no this is not another { i am leaving this forum }.

it is just that i no longer am so hungry for the many posts as i once was.

AND CAME BACK TO HELP OTHERS.

I have tried several volunteer organization and looked for ways to contribute to the community but once I got past my ill feelings about the JW experience I realized I can do more for people by supporting EXJWS. This is the area where we are experts.

Rape, two witnesses, DNA, and rape kit

forgive, please, if this has been asked.

my google wasn't much help.. does the society yet recognize dna, a rape kit, etc., as evidence that could supplant a "second witness" which they have always insisted on?.

Hello Fatfreak and Stilla,

I only heard of a couple incidents where someone claimed rape, only dealt with one. Strangely we never considered high teck evidence. In the one case I had to handle we never questioned the truth of the statement of rape but assumed it was true and focussed on the alleged victims obligation to scream and try to get away. Almost took judicial action against the victim for their passive resistence.

I'm sure the WT allows "circumstantial evidence" but the elders would hardly demand a rape kit. If the victim or the accused presented such evidence on their own then I suspect the "Elders" would have to call the society and get theocratic "direction".

This would be another area, like child molestation, where normal people would go first to the Authorities, then to the elders.

Oh so many people helped me, reading the posts when I was too tired or worn out to post. Just to read and not feel so alone any more.

Somehow we have not communicated although you have been here a while. It was either me or your being "too tired or worn out to post". But I like your comment "Just to read and not feel so alone any more." I figure it sums it for many. This is a great thread, bring out many new posters. Keep sharing and remember it is not YOU that has a problem, it is the Watchtower Society. As Momofmany says, there is no reason for you to "feel so alone any more."

It is only sad how much pain we went through before we found a place like JWD.

Spanish Speaking Ex-JWs Want To Help?

i've just been informed that there are a growing number of spanish speaking jw apologists who are flooding the spanish speaking net with nonsense about the usual so-called "apostate lies", and attempting the usual lying defenses of the jw organization.

apparently these are mostly mexican jws.

some of the defenses seem to be relatively new in the sense that they've not been covered before in english.. since i don't speak spanish, and i know of few present spanish jw-critical resources, there's a real need for spanish speaking ex-jws to respond to these typically braindead attacks.. i've also been informed that a brazilian jw has been translating the spanish jw defenses into portuguese, so if there are any portuguese speakers willing to help out, please let me know.. alanf

Well done Alan, It is apparent your "heart" was truly in communication with your "mind" on this (what insight Freddie had). I like this approach. You are an encyclopedia of WT blunders but you made this personal first, and then pulled the shot gun trigger on their teachings. Considering what the "Knockers" producer thought he was doing, you out did him already. Farkel, I love that point you made about the blood in animal feed. I remember that coming out in the WT lit and thinking how wonderfully insightful the brothers were to cover all bases for the sake of our consciences. How could I have lived with myself if I had inadvertently fed my dog animal blood, after the poor pet's conscientious efforts to always pour out the blood of its catches and road kill. Yes, pulling the carcass out in the tire tracks several time to make sure the road kill got thoroughly squashed several times, ceremoniously splattering that sacred blood every direction until the it was fit to eat. How many times had I fed my loving dog with no regard for the bloodless holiness of the meal I offered? Gawd, was I dumber than a dog? Steve

Lot, Welcome to the board. We here sympathize with you. I especially relate to your problem of knowing to much about the org yet still trying to give talks and carry on as a Jdub. You will probably need to resign from that eventually for the sake of your own sanity. Many here have been through this. As to your wife, is she ready to read Ray Franz's books? If you can get a copy (commentarypress.com or Amazon.com) and convince her that it is reasonable and scriptural to consider all facts before making a judgement then I think Crisis of Conscience will help. I'm sure you will get more help from this thread. Hope to hear more from you. Jst2laws

Thanks, everone is fine, except we have to walk everywhere and it's raining. But that is nothing compared to what others are suffering.

It was strange that we slept in today about an hour longer than we expected. We had plans to go the British Museum this morning and would have been at one of the bombed stations at exactly the wrong time if we had kept our schedule.

Big Dog,

I haven't thought about who are the "scum of the earth". If this is terrorism again from extreme Islam, despite our personal injuries and bad feelings regarding our JW experience I hope we can agree that the JWs, though extreme, are Not the most harmful in the world.

Where are you. Joyzabel and I are at Earl's Court right now. We have nothing else to do today with the trains and busses down. If you haven't left your building give us a number and if we are close enough we can meet if you want.

Anyone else flying in for Eman's BBQ? I'm not sure the busses will be going out of town tomorrow. I hope we haven't come this far only to miss the bbq.

He did warn us. EVERYONE! this is a great commentary for a JW who is ready to examine the WT dogma that the GB represents a continuing body of faithful servants who had their start in Jerusalem in the first century.

Oldsoul points out many blinding discrepancies in that concept just in Paul's comments in Galatians.

Basically, Paul only went to Jerusalem to "see about this matter" NOT because the "Governing Body" was there but because the TROUBLE, the spying out their "freedom" and trying to "enslave" them was coming for Jerusalem.

Take a look at it for the sake of your JW relatives. It may help them.

I suspect you have future intentions for this work, at least I hope so. But for the ADS member here like myself sometimes long projects are broken into many parts and posted separately with links to the others. Maybe that would work better?
