Nina,
It is amazing how we become locked into an emotional mode and do not realize it until we get out of it and look back. It is like raising our level of consciousness. I'm glad you feel good.

Ps, give everyone in the house a hug for me.
about a month or two ago, i spent a week feeling incredibly sad.
i cried at the drop of a hat and was very, very sad -- about what i didn't know.
(and, no, it wasn't "that" time of the month.

that's right, i'm pissed.
you guys are supposed to be pn here so much you're blowing the damn board to bits every night.

OK wonderlust,
What are your issues?

watchtower votes in united nations affairs
after clicking on each one of those symbols listed and matching under the (watchtower) name, the reader found u.n. resolutions with a vote of (yes) located beside the words (voting summary) in scans #4 and #6. scan # 4 listed a vote of (yes) u.n. meeting no.
scan #5. if we had clicked on the 2nd un symbol that was located back on scan # 3, then we would come up with this page, which shows another (yes) vote by (total voting membership) or 015---------see scan # 6 (this scan)------------then scan # 7 will show what was voted on (found by clicking on (full english text) see this scan and last scan # 7----coming after this one.. .
Ok,
You guys are all having too much fun. And you have all been to damn reasonable and honest on this thread. Randy came up with some legit research. Everyone trying it came up with the same results, WATCHTOWER VOTED IN THE UN.
Now why go and ruin that? Didn't you folks learn anything after decades in the WT. THE TRUTH DOESN'T MATTER. It's all about making it LOOK LIKE TRUTH. Where in the world is your lust for defamation? Where is your bitter and blinding hatred?
As Apostates, YOU ALL SUCK.

i have had trouble getting onto mrs ozzie since the operation but this morning i rang the hospital and was put through to mr ozzie himself!.
we spoke for quite a while and he sounded fantastic!!!!!!!.
i passed on the love of the board and told him he has so many people who love him.

we have all read info here and elsewhere exposing the w.t.
society's involvement with the u.n. i have found a site which is trying to minimize the damage that has been wrought.
i hope many of you will read it and offer your viewpoints or critiques.. http://www.wtdefended.co.sr/ .
Thanks Kenneson,
Excellent find. This guy has produced an attractive site and is taking on a tough subject to defend.
I only skimmed but it appears he says "poor JWs, they are always picked on", as if there is no real conflict with JW teachings and what he acknowledges they have done.
I hope to read more tomorrow and maybe comment further. This issue is indefensible for the WT. In fact I think we might be able to use this site to help show that.

.
i'd like to get comments from people about whether and how much they were shocked, surprised, or otherwise bothered by the watchtower society's becoming an associated non-governmental organization (ngo).. note that i'd like to see these comments because they might lead to some interesting publicity, so please comment accordingly.. alanf
Allen,
I had recently stepped down as an elder, reading on this board as the story broke. My first thought it was, good, perhaps a sign they are getting liberal. Then I learned they joined in 1992 just after condemning the Catholic organizations for doing the same. Then they withdrew from the NPI in a knee jerk reaction to the bad publicity and JUSTIFIED their hypocrisy with the "library card" tale.
I had a lot of reasons to be upset with the WT but as this unfolded I became fully convinced the WT was not an organization devoted to truth. For get reform or liberalizing, it was too corrupt.

the one constant in life.
there is only one significant constant in life and that constant is simply: we all die.
no matter how successful we become, we will die.
Farkel,
Excellent, and spiced with the Farkel sarcasm.
Keep it up Farkel.
Leaolaia,
Good supplemental material.

Hello Bliss,
So kind of you to post this for us but is it possible to also print these pages out and get them to Ozzie? He will read these when he is well but wouldn't it be nice to read them while recovering? Hoping not to burden you, but if it is possible.
Get well Ozzie.
Steve
my congregation along with about thirty others attends circuit assemblies at a facility that is owned by the organization (a converted school).
this building also has a section that serves as a kh for three local congregations.
i have noticed that when the financial reports are read at the assemblies that the expense (which is not detailed) is always around $4,000.
Hello Silentwatcher,
What you describe:
Actually, I think the rent at the assembly halls is calculated using a "head-tax" of $X dollars per publisher per day.
sounds more like their procedure for resolving circuit deficits. The congregations are usually assessed the amount of the deficit by the number of publishers they have of the circuit total. But I have been out of the loop for about four years now. Maybe they are doing things differently.

the new cbr600rr is one sweet ride!.
Alan,
I didn't know you had joined the bikers. Put a picture. Better yet, hop on it and ride here, Florida. This week is Thunder Beach in Panama City Beach. Twice a year we get about 50,000 bikers for a week. Its yuppy biker event.
Beans and everyone else,
Your invited too. I just ride a Honda Shadow but my son has a sport bike, Yamaha 1000. I like riding on two wheel, while he likes passing me on one.
