  Just got my copy of In Search of Christian Freedom

  my book came in last week and i picked it up on thursday.i was nowhere near as nervous as when i purchased crisis of conscience.so far i've read the first 2 chapters and i will definitely learn a lot from this book,it's a real gem of spiritual truths and christian freedom.. while i was in the christian bookstore picking up my book i took the time to order 2 more books.. -the gentile times reconsidered.

  -combatting cult mind control.

  i'm looking forward to reading those also.hopefully i can subtely share some of this material with my family members who are still deeply brainwashed by the wts.. goldminer

  i am posting this topic to say hello from wildturkey and the rest of our family.

  it has been one crazy , wonderful year for us.

  we have been staying so busy ( sometimes too busy) with the kids,all of their "worldly" pursuits ya know!!!!!!!!!!.

  .....................i received an sms from mrs ozzie last night informing me that ozzie is having an extremely risky operation on wednesday morning, 8am australian time.

  i can't give more details at this stage as to the procedure due to confidentiality but i can assure you it is going to be dangerous!

  mrs ozzie said that it had to be done despite the risk.. so if all of us here could take a moment tomorrow and send positive thoughts.

  Who Was Shocked By the Watchtower UN NGO Scandal?

  i'd like to get comments from people about whether and how much they were shocked, surprised, or otherwise bothered by the watchtower society's becoming an associated non-governmental organization (ngo).. note that i'd like to see these comments because they might lead to some interesting publicity, so please comment accordingly.. alanf

  I was already on my way out, trying to fade, but when the UN/NGO situation was revealed I was LIVID!!! Since I was little that's all I ever heard was that the UN was the "wild beast" and to have association with that organization would be like sleeping with a harlot.

  I had joined the YMCA for a day back in the 80's because they had the only heated pool in the town. I loved to swim and wanted to get back into shape after having 2 babies. At the time I was in college going through nursing school. My husband said I would get DF'd if I didn't unjoin the Y. ()

  I thought what an arrogant organization to do what they expel people for. They ruin people's lives through their disfellowshipping program and yet they slept for 10 years with the harlot while riding the back of the "image of the wild beast". (Mental picture from the Revelation book of the harlot riding the wild beast) *shivers*

  thank you for your inquiries regarding the barbara anderson vs. watchtower tennessee appellate court hearing, which took place on thursday, april 14, 2005. accompanied by steve and joy imhof, from panama city beach, florida, and our attorney, jerre hood, from winchester, tennessee, we drove to nashville to attend the 1:00 p.m. scheduled appellate hearing.

  this hearing was requested last year by defendants in the case, and they are: the numerous corporations of watchtower bible and tract society; watchtower spokespersons, j. r. brown, and david semonian, and certain elders of the manchester, tn congregation of jws.

  Thanks for posting this, Barbara.

  Just my 2 cents:

  I thought it was interesting watching the JW lawyer from the "otherside". Boy, was he a walking, talking, bethelite clone. He sounded articulate and had all his court cases in hand to back up his claims. But listening to his content, he wasn't really addressing the issues they had appealed, just blowing their own horn that JW's have 1st admendment privileges. I thought at first the 3 judges were impressed with the JW background but when Ed Bell was done with his explanation of the brief, I think they had a different idea about what the lawsuit was about.

  It will be very interesting to hear what the appelate court's judgement will be.

  You and Joe keep up the good work and excellent example you are setting for all to see.
