If you want to be marked, alienated, or even go as far as being disfellowshipped ... go for it.
The Organization won't change for you. Your local congregation won't accept your thoughts over the Organization's. Case closed.

Problem is, the organization knows their understanding doesn't find support outside of their circle, so they came out with the articles a couple of years ago clarifying their stance. After the articles came out, an elder sent me one as I had brought up the subject in the past. Society says this is what it is, case closed, independent thinking not allowed.
woman was created first.. every human being has 46 chromosomes arranged in 23 pairs, the first twenty two are autosomes, or matching, the twenty third pair matches in the female (xx), however, the male is mismatched (xy).. notice what is missing from that second x?
yes, one of its ribs has been removed.. clearly, in a female, since all are matching pairs, it makes sense that woman was created first as the male xy combination is the mutated pair.
why would god create the mismatched dna first?
Since I no longer believe in God and creation, I must revise this to say that perhaps the female is the original of the species and the male at some point must have been a mutation.

(preface: this is a husband and wife that i have come to be friends with after leaving the borg, they are christians).
we were sitting around visiting last night and having a good time when my friend starts in on illegal immigration and politics and starts throwing out his hate speech which eventually turns to homosexuals.
My friends are not JW's, they are quasi-nondenominational fundamentalists, and as far as I can perceive from our conversation, they basically believe dinosaurs are an elaborate hoax by scientists and/or satan.
it used to bother me that people would say that about my well meaning religion.

If we were created to have an attraction to certain characteristics, will that part of the brain switch off when we have a mate? Will it be wrong to notice beauty, or if everyone is equally attractive will beauty become plain?

i think that we are a little crazy but we bought a bar in wisconsin last week.

When in, I thought about this at times too.
However, as you know, for a JW there is a scriptural answer for everything, and my indoctrinated mind would always come back to the following Bible verses ... which shouldn't wake you up, rather it should reinforce that JW's being full of weirdos meant you had the TRUTH® and how fortunate you were that you could be a part of it even though you weren't a weirdo yourself. (because no doubt most of us would exclude themselves as being one of the weirdos )

i have to share this with you.. after leaving the borg i had to concentrate to solve so many personal problems (financial, child custody, etc.
) that it left me with a poor social life.
i just didn't have the nerve/time to make new friends.
