e trouble is we have issues when we join e jws.but unless we work thru e problem urselves we r still trapped.e WT did not offer us e ans.
i've recently found coda group and was wondering how many others have found them and have they helped?.
actually, i can't believe i hadn't found it sooner....feel like such an idiot now.
i think it could probably help anyone raised jw.. .

of the congregation i spent my life in i would say a good 75% had nervous breakdowns at some point.
and often there was never really a obivous reason for it.
well not that we jw's could understand at the time.. even the queen bee's/ elderettes were not immune to this.. what about you?.
the cong that i was in there are 7 depressed persons out of the 80 or more publishers
i was trying to figure out the answer to this question when i came across my notes of a talk by the do in the 09 circuit convention.
he said the world defined "spirituality" however it would suit them; according to their own religion.
he gave example definitions of spirituality (being in touch with nature, spiritism, going to church and reading the bible, etc.
spirituality means the arts and the music
i don't mean an illness that makes you a jw ;) that would be scary.. i was wondering if everyone else felt that there was a huge amount of illness within the borg.......if there still is?.
when i was a jw i remember there being a magazine about cfs (chronic fatigue syndrome) and me ( mylo encephalitis?
something like that) and at the time hearing a report on the radio that said it was on the increase and particularly among people in caring professions such as nurses, home workers, and jw's.
yes i have depression. whether it was a genetic factor or not, my being in the org is a major contributing factor
for the so-called conscious class, those of you who know it's all a disgusting lie, what is the real reason you stay in?
i find it hard to understand how ones who know what the org truly is would continue to be an active jw.
i'm not talking about the "faders"- those with an actual plan to get out as painlessly as possible.
i may have to leave if they catch me living a double life.Being marked will be unbearable
ok i'm new here , posted a few times & still trying to figure out "who's what".
i thought i'd start a thread directed at members who say they are still actively involved within the wt society.
a few questions they might wish to address.
big mac
to answer your question : yes it is double standard
.
the meetings used to be three times a week and totalled five hours.. the public talk on a sunday was reduced from one hour to three quarters of an hour whilst we were still attending and then following our fade we were aware that the tuesday night group book study was stopped.. does this now mean the meetings total three and three quarter hours?.
my husband was asking me this morning and i wasn't sure so wondered if anyone can help me out here.. thanks.. li.
we have WT study on sunday, and together with the meeting for field service, it total up to 1hr45min.together with the mid week meetings(1hr45min)the total weekly meetings is 3hr30min
i have been reading some interesting information on terror management theory at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/terror_management_theory.
this explains how the terror of death leads to a belief in an afterlife and also affects how we live.
there is an "irresolvable paradox" created from the desire to preserve life and the realization of that impossibility because life is finite.

yes-lotta nonsense; a self-proclaimed "slave class" that is not a prophet but like a prophet, giving so awfully embarrasing opinions that are supposed to be automatically acceted by all of us jws...pretenders...mistakes... and moves not "discreet" at all- like the ngo united nations membership they secretly had for awhile....terrible, isn't it?.
i mean, look at the inspiring example we have in churchianity: such wonderful dogma- such as the three sadist-gods who have been torturing billions of men, women, and children for thousands of years- with eternity to go...and god making the universe in 72 hours...and backing the wars of their governments- "god and country!
", as they send their men out to war, telling them they will be blessed for it, and so many more wonderful revelations: the rapture, once-saved, tithing, etc.

just to let you know I am still "in"
just wondering if any ex or current "concious class" dubbers out there take anything; and if it works!
my family is still in and with everything else going on in my life, sometimes i consider asking my doc about zolft / prosac.. thanks for any replies!.
i should just ask 85% of my congregation-mates ... lol.
AIW if one is truly ill,it's not good to deny it. if one suffers mental depression he has to be on medication.if he stops the medication there is the possibility of a relapse.
