Wobble - Yeah when we walked out the the kingdom hall for the last time, knowing we would never again have to put up with their behaviour, all I can say is it was bliss. The thought of going back in for whatever reason fills me with dread.
Basically it was the lack of love and the lies.
i wanted to make a few comments to those of you that have recently begun to question or have already left the wt and made their way onto this site.
this site is a great resource to learn how others are coping with leaving the organization and moving on into a fulfilling life.. i wanted to write this post because i think reading something like this would've been helpful to me to understand where a lot of people that comment on this site are coming from.
you are going to hear from a wide range of people that have moved on to a diverse range of beliefs.
@Tec - I totally agree that there are very kind atheists on this board, but they can be very unkind when someone says they have a faith in God.
I will gladly take back the remark of "the majority" I should have said "some." Sorry that was me being unkind.
I do get a bit rattled at times.

I also think many fail to post because they are in fear of being bullied, mocked, attacked because they have a faith in Christ. You only have to read Watersprouts topic to see how aggressive some can be.
So can atheists REALLY have contentment in their belief (or unbelief)? They will claim that they are content
Why is it that a majority of atheists on this forum do attack those with a faith in God. So are they truly content ... no I don't think so even though they say they are.

last week i had opportunity to visit a nephew i had not seen in many years.
he is a quiet young man, just 21 but knows who he is and stands up for what he believes.

You are strong reliable posters on this forum, usually the first to encourage and support those who are in the process of leaving and those who have just left and because of that I do have a lot of respect for you. I know you both hate the way the Org: has hurt so many and yet I feel that the way you attack ones like Watersprout, Shelby, Inkie makes you no different to those in the Tower. Bullying is bullying, harshness is harshness no matter how you go about it or who it comes from.
I would love to know why it bothers you so much?
We are all on a different journey, some spiritual others not so much.
Harsh remarks from some of the other posters .... well all I can say is I'm so glad I never knew them when they were in the Tower. Makes me shudder just thinking about it .
Personally, I love it when Christ goes to such ones. The Tower hasn't crushed my faith.

about a year ago i went through a mild meltdown.
it hit me fast i had panic attacks and became angry with all the control in my life.
(being a jw) i had just found out i was being screwed on a real estate development project by another self righteous jw i have known for a long time but this was a big loss (about 4 months pay plus expenses).
Welcome to the board, enjoy your journey. It may be bumpy, it may be smooth but at least you're free.
grandma has not seen her for 18 months and auntie 2 years !
i was in the town at the weekend just before i went to work , my little girl was walking a few feet ahead of me and i saw her auntie come out a shop followed by grandma and i thought "oh shit" "what have we got to talk about after all this time " but fortunatley they just walked past eachother oblivious , despite grandma being so close she could have patted her on the head !
i was relieved but afterwards i thought how sad it is that a grandma cant come to visit her own grandchild and didnt even notice her (they are my disfellowshipped hubbys family .
Awww that's soo sad Thankfully baby looloo didn't know them..... but that is sad to, what a vile religion .
I hope you kept your head held high with dignity.
