Angry Bees
by exwhyzee inat one of the last meetings i was at 2 years ago, one of the kingdom songs that they sang, had a verse in it that said something about the people in the world being like angry bees .... or molested bees or something like that.
in all the years i had been in the org.
(my whole life) i had somehow missed this ridicioulous verse.

at brotherdan's request from another thread:
have an idea. Lets write a song in the style of the Watchtower music the is an ode to molestation victims. Anyone want to contribute?
Here's a version for the elder's manual:
2. We know that in this crucial hour
molesters are protected.
The publisher's want legal action,
for those who were molested.
But we can ever beat them off,
DF with impunity.
Uphold the organization's name,
and preserve our "unity".

Has anyone ever ask a householder to keep their Bible study secret from their spouse?
by wasblind ini was told of one incident, where a pioneer said that she had trouble with one householders husband, because he was hiding the literature and did not want his wife to study with the jw's so she incouraged the householder to study in secrecy.. .

pirata: Bane, does studying the Bible with Mormons also take precedence over what a parent thinks? Why or why not?
Bane: Let´s try an experiment. What does Pirata THINK I will answer? Let´s see if he'she can do it without the mocking...
I wasn't thinking of anything in particular, but these could be a couple of possible answers:
1) No, studying the Bible with the Mormons does not take precedence over what a parent thinks because they do not have the true religion.
2) Yes, studying the Bible with anyone should take precedence over what a parent thinks because children should have freedom to choose their religion.

There are dissenting viewpoints on almost every subject.
Therefore we are all morons.

Discussion on the way out of convention
by Mickey mouse insunday evening there were a group of sisters talking on their walk back to the carpark.
"so if the generation just means that your life overlapped with people who were around in 1914, couldn't that just go on forever?".
""i guess...." (looked at each other confused, then at me as i walked past).. to which i said: "oh yes, remember the days when the generation was a simple 70 years from 1914?".

Recently I had not turned it in my time and got a call. I said, "Since I missed the cut-off, I thought I'd just sent it in with next months". They said "Oh, that's okay, you can still turn it in now".
Evidently, they silently changed it to the 20th (but don't tell the publishers): http://governingbodyletters.blogspot.com/2008/12/field-service-reports.html
PS. Evidently the maintainer of the above blog is also a reader of this board as I just found one of my posts on it

The Watchtower, August 1st, 2001 Issue, Page 14, Paragraph 8:
"First, since “oneness” is to be observed, a mature Christian must be in unity and full harmony with fellow believers as far as faith and knowledge are concerned. He does not advocate or insist on personal opinions or harbor private ideas when it comes to Bible understanding. Rather, he has complete confidence in the truth as it is revealed by Jehovah God through his Son, Jesus Christ, and “the faithful and discreet slave.”
