jw.org getting out of hand
by Gorbatchov init seems the watchtower staff have made a runaway train with the introduction of the mark jw.org.. the combination of using a gadget driven platform and the fact that the common jw is low educated and easely influenced.
by new occurrings in their religion makes the situation getting out of hand.. proof: gb members wearing jw.org buttons during their speech, gifts with jw.org are given away, umbrellas with the jw.org are available.
jw.org is more important then god, his son and the gospel.. it's the gadget and the jw.org mark that counts.. i am so happy my grandparents are not confronted with these idiots.. it's a runaway train heading to the end of the track.. gorby .

They've consulted someone outside the b0rg.
Of course being freakishly controlling, it handcuffs what can be done. Drilling the jw.org theme into the skulls of the rank and file over and over and over again is their way to try to control where they go on the internet. Of course they are dressing it up like the troops have this big part to play in sharing the website in their facebook and instagram profiles.
But it is working, for now. They were getting absolutely smacked around on the internet for the first two decades of its existence. They had no plan to control the information, and anyone with a half-dozen or so functioning brain cells got online and then got out of the religion.
They are reactionary, and always will be. Who knows what the next wave will be, but it will lead plenty more out before the WT realizes it and reacts to the problem.

How long have you known TTATT and continued to participate?
by LostGeneration ini continue to be stunned by posters reporting on the convention, lamenting the convention, complaining about going in serve-us and meetings, and yet continuing to participate in these activities.. a simple question.
how long have you done these things, fully knowing it is absolute bullshit?.
i couldn't handle it for more than six months before i basically outed myself.

Or if you are 'out', how long did you do it before you quit, meaning no FS/Meetings/assemblies.

Funny how there have never been any 'ghosts' or 'demons' captured on video so the world can see them on youtube.

VERY short day at the Arlington/Dallas International Convention-My Observations
by CaptainSchmideo inokay, some good takeaway:.
i have never been to a convention quite like this before.
a very friendly vibe all around, lots of banners and posters with sayings like "sending love to all our brothers", "see you in the paradise", "ecuador sends greetings", and "jehovahs-witness.net" (okay, i lied on that last one...).

RE what Data Dog notes, this year they are throwing the kitchen sink at the troops so they don't think about 1914. Huge conventions, busy work with the upcoming jw.org tracts, speculations about this being the 'last meh-morial', I could go on and on.
Whipping up this kind of excitement and fervor can't go on for too long, otherwise everyone either expects more, or suffers a letdown. Next year will be the let down. In the years that follow, we'll see JWs here who are actually realizing its been 100 years of Jesus doing nothing.
They have already dropped the two day conventions, I'll guess this year will be the last three day convention. Next year it goes to two, way less rent to pay at worldy venues and income can remain about the same. The new squeeze on donations will continue, and 1914 will look more and more like a sick joke.

...The WBT$ Theft of Kingdom Hall Bank Accounts and JW Elders...
by OUTLAW in.. the new wbt$ donation arrangement/ jw kingdom hall bank account theft... is a very hot topic right now... the wbt$ is literally going to clean out kingdom hall bank accounts, filled with donations from jws... that theft is going to happen world wide..the wbt$ is going to steal from 7 million plus jw`s... .. we have jw elders here on jwn, that know whats going on... they "serve" in kingdom halls, they are "supposed" to be looking after the welfare of the average jw... they know there is a 4 page letter, only one page will be read to the congregation..the rest will be kept secret... they know the wbt$ is about to steal jw donations..on a world wide scale!!!...
.. i would like to know what you active jw elders are going to do about this??!!...
are you going to let "your" congregation know about the other 3 secret pages?...

Imagine the WTBTs gross potential liability for damage to people's lives. People to include non-members (say, relatives or other loved ones).
Care to explain how in the world this could be proven and damages measured?

"It's not religious..." Wait... What???
by dynamiterose77 inmy friend, mike works as a massage therapist, and there is a woman at the shop that is super-jw-woman and is constantly hounding him with things.. today, he's messaging me and he tells me that she was trying to push a brochure or something on him.
he said he'd really rather not read a religious pamphlet.. so... she says, "it's not religious... it's from god.".
isn't that kinda what religious means?

Maybe have him print up a few cards that read "jwfacts.com" on them.
Next time she asks him to read it, he can offer her a trade of literature.
That ought to shut her up.

Our "Evolved" culture
by Saved_JW injust a quick reminder of the "evolved" culture we live in:.
1- we live in a time where the humanity of a child is not determined by science [chromosomes, dna] but by the feelings of the mother.. 2- gender used to be determined by the objective anatomical, psychological, and genetical differences..now based purely on your emotional self.. 3- philosophy used to be a discipline which sought for ultimate truth, arguments were deliberated, calculated, and worldviews challenged.
humanity sought to know why we believe not just what we believe.

So what is your solution Saved?
Lemme guess, bowing down to the imaginary sky friend that you personally approve of, right?
10-15% of all pregnancies end in "murder" as well, oops I mean miscarriage. I'm sure that term is OK to use, right?
