My oldest daughter said today: "Mom, at school they're selling carnations. Can I have a dollar to buy you a flower for Mother's Day?" Gotta love that
Congratualtions to all the great moms out there!
i just wanted to take the opportunity to wish all our jwd mother's a happy mother's day.. many of us have children that do not speak with or associate with us, some have lost their children in custody battles only to have limited access to them, some have lost their children in death, you are still a mother and no one can change that experience.
"happy mother's day".
those of us who have children with health, mental or physical disabilities may have lots of challenges but we love them unconditionally, none the less.

this is the guy that sat on my razor blades the one time i was thinking of cutting myself... this is the guy that everytime my dad beat me, would come to my room and lay with me... this is the guy that one time jumped into the bathtub with me while i was crying after a brutal beating, the cat hated water... this is a cat that was more family to me than my own father and mother combined... this was my best friend... .
today i had to do the hardest thing i ever did, i had to choose to have him put down... and as he fought the vet, and tried to bite her, i put my hand on his head, and he stopped struggling... and as they put the last needle into his leg, he purred until he died... the vet says she has never seen that before... this was my best friend and i had to kill him... fuck, im a baby, but i miss him soooo much.
the infamous one.
Good for you! I'm a cat person myself but haven't had the time or energies to care for one for several years now. They do have their own personalities ---each of them. Enjoy your new feline friend.

well it has finally happened.my wife is not going back to the meetings again.as you would probably read in my previous posts, i have written a book about my experience in the watchtower organisation which is on the verge of being published.she still tried to cling to what little belief she had in the borg and did not want to read my manuscript.we discussed many of the issues and concerns i had about the watchtower but most of the times it ended in a heated argument.. i was quite surprised when she approached me about two weeks ago and asked to read my manuscript.after reading it she handed it back to me and said she fully supports me in publishing this book.her eyes have been opened to the deception and lies.i think she and a friend had a bad experience calling on one of her so-called jw friends.furthermore, she did not attend this past weekends circuit assembly..
hooray!!!.
all i have to do now is to introduce her to all you wonderful people here on jwd.. jakes.
Great News!
Congrats

i sent out wedding invitations last week.
apparently they caused my parents to get a divorce.
i got an e-mail from my mother saying that she left my dad, is filing for divorce, and that dad thinks she left because she wants to go to my wedding and he won't let her.
Sorry about that ((((hugs)))
I hope your wedding day will be very happy one.
BTW, Don't feel responsible for your parents actions. They are adults and what they do is their choice.

i always used to cringe when the watchtower "family" and "youth" books would stereotype men and women into two mutually exclusive categories: "men think while women feel.
"one trait is not better than the other they are just different...," i recall the books went on to say in so many words.
i'm well aware both men and women have excelled in science, etc.
there is nothing wrong with feeling hurt.... its natural!!! so no i dont hide it because the borg said i should
Thanks for sharing, Infamousone. I always knew there was a reason why their generalizations just didn't sound right.

My question is for the Men in this forum:
Do you never show emotions? When someone offends you or you become sad, do you cry easily or do you feel that since you are a man you have to keep your feelings bottled up because "Men don't cry?"

i was able to briefly attend the dallas apostafest today and here are my impressions:.
elsewhere: very helpful host.
the party room had comfy chairs and outside an incredibly beautiful pool (although the water was a bit cold for my feet.
horrible life: Thanks you for your kind words. Yes, it almost did feel like paradise!
When daughter and I come down your way to shop, we have to look you up.
Please do! PM me and we'll surely work something out.
FatFreek: I'm glad you and Judy arrived safely.
If you've got any good pics, we're waiting anxiously to see them.

i wanted to thank everyone who helped make this great event happen!
everyone really stepped up and helped enormously... if it were not for all of you the apasta-crawfest would not have been anywhere as great.
several people approached me discreetly to provide monetary support, which is greatly appreciated.
The manager was apologetic about the whole mix-up and assured me that some changes are being made to ensure it does not happen again.
Good for you!
I had a great time, but forgot my camera. Still looking for anyone to post some pics.
Here's my review of yesterday's event: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/133920/1.ashx
