Making faith equal to religion or religious belief is a religious lie.
Religious leaders use this lie to cover their theft of their followers' faith.
Almost no one in the Watchtower has received the free gift of faith.
Those that have, begin to see spiritual matters that others can't, and are soon booted out and shunned for being different.
i put doh onto lett.
see if it doesn't fit him just right.
the dubb is only fair, but its fun to do.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k13uxgtrya0.
Awesome.
Please keep them rolling.
okay, let's do a big what-if: suppose the gb for its own unfathomable reasons suddenly got new light (tm) and decided to start appointing women elders and ministerial servants.
they would, of course, refer to the examples of junia (apostle), and priscilla and phoebe (deaconesses in wordlyspeak) in the greek scriptures; never mind what mental somersaults it would take to get them there.
stranger things have happened in wt history.. that being the case, would having women in positions of real authority make any significant difference in the congos or in the borg as a whole, and why or why not?.
Women absolutely do not belong in (manmade) religion or religious hierarchies.
Why ruin one of God's best creations?
Women are mostly not naturally into power, control, authority, sectarianism, fundamentalism, legalism, moralism, hypocrisy, self-righteousness and works-righteousness.
Women are naturally into family, community, peace, unity, love and liberty.
today, i watched a movie called" heaven is for real", before we go any further i want to say i have become an atheist having been exposed to christianity from an early age with different denominations up into my teens , and then being converted to a jehovahs witness for 33 years , and then disaccociating myself from that religion some years ago.. however i am intrigued with what i have witnessed today , not only the movie , but where it has led me.
fair enough , movies take liberties in what they present even with so called true stories , i can live with that.. i think their has been a lot said about col and his pastor father being an influence on his sons visions.i can live with that too.. in the movie col todd related to the painting akiane kramarik made about jesus ?
they never knew anything about one another.
Although the details differ greatly I too have had personal experiences which lead me to believe those described are genuine.
And I did enjoy the movie which to me felt like a balanced and authentic true-to-life portrayal.
Akiane, well, exists in each of us, just waiting to be liberated.
I know how much I have been changed by my unmerited experiences.
All I did was choose to take a fresh and openminded look, once I had little or nothing more to lose, aka "a blank slate".
old timers, or careful readers of the proclaimers book, are familiar with the "testimony card" used in the early days of rutherford-era door to door witnessing.
the jw would traipse up to a house, knock, hand the card over to the householder, and wait while he read it.. well, it seems that "everything old is new again".
here is an excerpt from a recent boe letter:.
Yeah, dumb move as far as assuming visitors are ignorant enough not to Google for more details.
But maybe a "smart" way of sneakily reducing the mags in size and page count to, well, 1 business card!
Yup, to stay in the printing business they're having to downsize this drastically.
How long before the mags go completely pdf, starting with the G20 countries?

i was told by jw's that angels came down to earth before the flood, and had children with women.. i have a question about this and would like the sort of answer a jw would give so that i can be ready for them when they come to my door.. if one third of god's angelic staff were banished to earth, are they doing this now?.
if not, what is stopping them?.
if so, where are all these half angel children?.

6 Giving a second warning example, Jude wrote:
“And the angels that did not keep their original position but forsook their own proper dwelling place he has reserved with eternal bonds under dense darkness for the judgment of the great day.” (Jude 6)
Angels were created as spirit creatures, having the prospect of eternal life in heaven. (Psalm 103:20; 104:4; Hebrews 1:7) That was their beginning, their “original position.” “Their own proper dwelling place,” or intended habitation, was in the invisible heavens. But certain angels presumptuously forsook their proper heavenly home. The apostle Peter said that they “sinned,” and immediately thereafter he cited events of Noah’s day. (2 Peter 2:4, 5) This draws attention to the preflood time when “the sons [the fifth-century Alexandrine Manuscript of the Septuagint Version says “angels”] of the true God,” apparently by materializing fleshly bodies, disobediently took good-looking women as wives. (Genesis 6:1, 2) Since cohabitation with women was unnatural for spirit creatures, these angels sinned by yielding to what for them was totally wrong desire. (James 1:13-15) Similarly, the “ungodly men” of whom Jude spoke desired to have immoral relations with persons of the opposite sex.
7 What happened to the disobedient angels served as a warning to Christians of Jude’s day, and serves as a warning to Jehovah’s Witnesses of modern times. Although those angels could escape death in the deluge by dematerializing, they were prevented from returning to their “original position” as holy spirit creatures enjoying the light of God’s counsel and approval. Rather, they have been reserved with “eternal bonds,” with God’s powers of restraint, until the divine “judgment of the great day” of their destruction. Meanwhile, there is no indication that they can materialize fleshly bodies, and they remain out of Jehovah’s service, in dense spiritual darkness, in so-called Tartarus.—2 Peter 2:4.
hi folks.
anointed jws have heavenly hope, including the esteemed privilege of reigning as kings and priests with jesus christ.
while they preach and share practially the same spiritual activities as members of the other sheep (os) do, an anointed jw has a greater distinction.. come now the disfellowshipping standards.

However, genuine anointed Christians do not demand special attention. They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special “insights,” beyond what even some experienced members of the great crowd may have. They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the other sheep have; nor do they expect special treatment or claim that their partaking of the emblems places them above the appointed elders in the congregation. They humbly remember that some anointed men in the first century did not qualify to serve as elders or ministerial servants.
(Is this where the demoting of "the anointed" from their position as FDS started, so that the GB could declare themselves the FDS????)
