How much do you truly believe you would enjoy living in a perfect world? Paradise...
by stillstuckcruz inwhat sort of conversations could you have in a perfect world?
i have a hard enough time creating conversation in this world.
when i need a conversation topic, i might mention a news story, or some problem such as the price of gas.

You'll lose your life and that of your children if you don't come back
by truthseeker init was a beautiful, sunny day.
i was in the supermarket doing an early morning shop when i see an old friend of the family, a jw sister.. she asked me if i'd gone to the memorial and i told her no.
she said that the end is so close what with all the earthquakes and brother truthseeker, you need to come back to jehovah otherwise you will die and so will your children.

Whose "mouthpiece" was Pastor Russell: Jehovah's or the Adventists??
by Terry ineither charles taze russell obtained his ideas from jehovah or he didn't.. if russell didn't get them from jehovah---from where?.
let's take a survey of the facts about william miller and subsequent adventist teachings.. then, we can ask this question again!.
when william miller (baptist farmer turned theologian) predicted the 2nd coming of christ in 1843/44 a large segment of america's population believed along with him.. miller was invited to preach in church after church.

quite amazing. as a member of the 'raised as' class, seeing history like this is just incredible. really makes a lot of their goofy teachings make more sense

And The Nations Will Fall (The Slave)
by Este indaniel 2:44.
44 in the time of those kings, the god of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people.
it will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever.

New Light @ The 2011 District Convention
by dontplaceliterature in" at the bottom of the image on the back of the invitation raises some eyebrows, but last night in the routine district convention article during the service meeting, i caught that one of the paragraphs mentioned that we would be encouraged to keep a copy of the tract in hand for a discussion during sunday's last talk.
my guess is, there is going to be some new revelation about what the "?
" represents, or some other fangled idea.

A reason christs ransom makes no sense to me
by Aussie Oz indo you remember the old jeff bridges film ''the last starman''?.
basic theme was an extra terestrial energy life transmogrified into a human and impregnated a woman with a seed that would become the savior of humanity.. hollywood is an old hand at using good v evil sort of messages that have ideoligical ties to the bible and the 'need' for mankind to be saved from themselves.. what gets me about this particular film is that the savior to come was there for all humanity.
no conditions were placed on how many from what nations could benefit, nor was salvation only for those who 'believed' or were smart enough to read visions or hidden messages etc.

it was a lot of little things that lead up to the big thing for me. mostly elders acting like asshats and jackholes. and then the flipflop on education. sitting there on a sunday morning in the 1990s and hearing the crap in the craptower: we never said you couldnt go to college ... some of you may have interpreted it that way .. you know the line ... well, i was stunned. i had done very well in high school and had lots of opportunities for scholarships .. but the elders said no .. showed me literatrash that specifically spoke against going to college ... never forget one of th ecomments: how much better to use your intellect for the good of gods kingdom (or some rubbish like that). anyways i was infuriated. telling me i got it wrong when i was hounded about it. lol. wasnt too long after that my mental exit began. then a physical exit in 2000.
