There were several truly awful Circuit Overseers that I had the misfortune to meet. One of the worst was a guy named William Osbeck, a truly horrible man and a serial liar. There was also a guy name Christian that had abused his wife and his children, and was about as arrogant as you'll ever see.

The Appeal Committee change is significant. I used to sit on an Appeal Committee and the rule was that the person appealing had to be repentant at the time they were being disfellowshipped. If they were only repentant when meeting with the Appeal Committee that wasn't good enough.

No pension no preparation for retirement

no children no money no home.
it is so sad.. so many decided not to have children as the end was right around the corner and that was decades ago.

I know lots of Witnesses with pensions and retirement savings. If some chose not to make those provisions because of the comments and opinions of idiots that it's on them. I question if you can find one official pronouncement saying you shouldn't make provisions for retirement. Plenty to blame the Organization for but I think that's a stretch.

by Simon ini saw a statistic the other day that something like 25% of all the debt that the us has incurred since 1776 was created in the last 12 months.
that's because they have printed so much currency and instead of letting that stop them, they are going to continue printing more to go on a spending spree on crazy green-new-deal schemes and union handouts.. does anyone think that this can be anything other than inflationary?
they are effectively stealing the wealth of everyone to then hand money out to people.
