I'm reading "The Watchtower's Coming Crisis", by Daniel Rodriguez. Rodriguez claims the Watchtower will have a severe crisis in the years to come, as "the Generation that wouldn't pass away" does pass away. Time is the WTS worst enemy, he says. He claims that, as the 1935 generation dies, the WTS will run out of anointed ones and there will be no member of the "Faithful and Discreet Slave" left to direct the rank and file witnesses, which will mean the rank and file will go headless and won't know what to do. He also claims that actually, the only ones who are "Jehovah's witnesses" are the anointed. I would appreciate to know what you people think about this.

JWs don't leave the organization over doctrine
by doublelife incan anyone help me with a quote from a publication studied in '09 that had a box that said jws leave over selfish reasons but not over doctrine?
i think it was studied in the bs but i can't find it and i already tried the search feature.
i remember someone posted about it at the time it was studied.

It is crystal-clear to me that this statement is meant to save face. Another way to put it would be "Yeah, people leave in flocks, but that's not because we have a false doctrine but because they are all scum. And you know this is true because we say so". It's also a subtle reminder that this is how the people close to you will think about you if you should ever leave.

I must say that your wife does not sound too demanding. Apparently there is no strong pressure for you to convert, and you don't seem to face the kind of problems other non-JW's have faced. The mere fact that she agreed to marry you without such conditions is a great plus. You seem to really be having it easier than the rest of us non-JW's.
That said, I'm sure there are some problems, too. The one you seem to have noticed is that your MIL drags your wife to do what no non-JW would do. Funny behavior, some people would call it, but we have to agree that actually this is not funny.
I would say it is BEST if you get your wife out, but it also makes sense not to push your luck if you're getting the opposite result. In all, however, your case looks encouraging. It seems it's a matter of waiting.
Good luck!

should you "try before you buy"?.

I fully agree with PSacramento. After reading post after post describing how marriages in the WTS never worked because the parties were not compatible, do we really need to ask this question?

NudeChicks, LOL, LOL, LOL.
I have a mischievous question, just for the sake of joking. What if young Brother Stud has trouble controlling his masturbation and he finds that he can perhaps find help with Sister Cougar?

Very quickly for the time being, I have to mention this:
"It is natural therefore for a healthy, normal male to feel a measure of sexual 'drive.' The marriage arrangement provides the means for satisfying such sexual desire."
I am sure that that it is also natural for a healthy and normal female to feel a measure of sexual drive. I wonder if the marriage arrangement provides the means for satisfying such sexual desire. I notice the article refers to female "mastication" or the sexual needs of a woman only as a minor subject:
"When a girl has the problem she may want to approach either an elder or a mature, respected Christian sister for help."
What happens when a grown up woman has "the problem"? And, what would a mature and respected Christian sister do to "help" the masticating girl? How can another person "help you" not to have normal desires? WHAT WOULD AN ELDER DO FOR HER?
I'm sure the article could be dissected even more.

Like someone else said, the very sad thing is that many will fail to even take notice of the change in the meaning of generation. I can but hope that the witnesses I personally met will be smart enough to notice.
