Why Jehovah Does Not Want An Effective Preaching Work
by konceptual99 inso we all know how ineffectual the preaching work really is.
we also know how much the wts hypes up the scope and scale of the global preaching effort.
what the gb should be doing however is emphasising the ineffectiveness of the preaching work.

First of all congratulations on your awakening at such a young age, also on avoiding baptism, as other had said, don't get dunked!
Work out your path, enjoy your life, make great friends.

As a Matter of Conscience, I Am Resigning from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Sail Away inafter listening to the hearings of the australian royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse, i am no longer content to have simply walked away from the organization.
as a matter of conscience, i do not want my name linked with the organization in any way.
i know this letter has been posted previously, and i thank the author.

Well done, for for making the break. Welcome to the world of unconditional friendships and real humanity. Sadly you will lose the friendship of brainwashed cult members including family members and those you thought would stick by you. Don't let the bastards grind you down! -

So I was enjoying a business trip in down town Bangkok...............Next thing BANG!!!
by cantleave inso last night i was having a wonderful meal in a very nice restaurant when we heard what we thought was a loud clap of thunder.................. it was a bomb.
yards from my hotel.
thankfully i made a few decision that meant i wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I am now far enough from the centre of Bangkok to feel safe. The Thai police have CCTV surveillance of the suspected bomber, so hopefully they will catch him.
Perry read a bloody science book and not a book of fairy tales to get a grip on reality!

Yes I agree LisaRose. The look of shock on my colleagues faces as it dawned on us what had happened was so saddening. Most live in the area and were obviously worried about friends and family, but their first thought was for me and what I was going to do. -

"I am Happy to be Controlled" - Edinburgh Elder on Cult Cart
by cofty inso my wife and i were up in edinburgh for the weekend for the international festival - we had a great weekend including going to see the military tattoo at the castle.. we were walking up the royal mile watching the street performers among hundreds of thousands of others from all over the world when i spotted the cult cart in it's usual spot being universally ignored.
feeling confident after my confrontation a couple of weeks ago we decided to go and have a chat with the two men.
i asked them if they were keeping up with the events in australia and proceeded to share lots of information with them.

So Last night I was having a wonderful meal in a very nice restaurant when we heard what we thought was a loud clap of thunder.................
It was a bomb. Yards from my hotel. Thankfully I made a few decision that meant I wasn't in the wrong place at the wrong time. I decided not to check in before going to the restaurant. I decided not to walk, but accepted a lift (I would have been walking the street where bomb went off at the time it went off), and a decision had been made to eat in the restaurant and not the Hotel.
So if I was religious, would I have put those events down to coincidence, or be praising my sky daddy for looking after me??
I have now booked a hotel away from the down town area and will continue my trip.
The Thai people are among the most hospitable, friendly people you are ever likely to meet, what we thought was just a thunder clap has in an instant ruined the lives of some of these wonderful people. I hate terrorists who target civilians in this way.

Exposing one's identity. When?
by kairos ini've been toying with the idea of just coming out and posting my name and location as an attempt to be available to locals that secretly browse the forum that have known me for up to 25 years.
( "reaching out", so to speak ).
i'm not da'd or df'd, so this most certainly could end in a dramatic confrontation.
