finance is already sorted - they're waiting for me to give them my new student number so that they can start paying me.
just need to formally accept bristol's offer and sort out accommodation.. accommodation should be ok - i've been told priority is given to new students, plus i'm enrolling onto a program for a real degree as a postgraduate - i won't be studying gender studies or some crap like that.

Doubter, somewhere in his jw-addled condescending posts wonders what the Watchtower loses of significance because of protests like this one in Philadelphia.
What they lose is members and their money as tangible losses. They lose credibility as intangible ones. They lose the ability to bring in replacements for those who die or leave.
That is significant loss.

My general understanding of the 1940's through early 1970's was that the Knorr/Franz combo was Franz came up with the stuff and Knorr ran the business to sell it.

I love this forum for the way a "leaked" document is dissected thoroughly (even if it seems to support my views) so that the truth may be obtained.
No fear here of what is said and who said it; just a desire to get things accurate.
since leaving the jw's after over 4 decades, i can see exactly what it is and hate everything it stands for.
however, there are still some jw habits and traits that i can't get rid of:.
1. i can't swear in general conversation (i'd have to be really angry).
"I get annoyed if someone has not got a working door bell at their house... "
When I was "in" the borg I preferred a non working door bell every time.

according to its own statistics, the jw organization in germany had 1075 kingdom halls in august 2011, 997 khs in november 2016, and 940 ones in august 2018. .
the average decrease was 1.25 khs per month in 2011-2016 and 2.7 khs per month during the past two years.. .

I've no idea where the chart comes from Morpheus, perhaps the OP can explain. All I noticed was that the publisher numbers are markedly different to the yearbook numbers but the Cong numbers are very close.
As for KH numbers there is nothing except the chart to go on unless you go to jborg "find a meeting" and count every hall on the map of Germany! Even I'm not anal enough to do that.

Now look at Congs ... not such a difference both show a marked drop.
