German branch stats: the number of KHs has decreased by 1/8 during the past 7 years

according to its own statistics, the jw organization in germany had 1075 kingdom halls in august 2011, 997 khs in november 2016, and 940 ones in august 2018. .

the average decrease was 1.25 khs per month in 2011-2016 and 2.7 khs per month during the past two years.. .

Well Morpheus - I think not. These figures don't tally with the yearbooks.

Yearbook 2012 gives the end of service year 2011 figure for publishers ...

Peak 165,387 Average 162,894

The above chart gives Aug 2011 (Probably the start of August as we have Aug 2018 figure up there and it is not the end of August yet.) as 167,107 so whatever it is, it is higher than both the yearbook figures.

Now check their Nov 2016 figure of 168,763 and look at the yearbook figures for 2016 and 2017 end of service year ...

2016 (Peak) 165,624

2017 (Peak) 165,470

So obviously they are counting publishers differently.

Can you disassociate on your last judicial committee for apostasy?

hi guys, i have been summoned to a judicial committee for apostasy.

i'm going to disassociate anyway but i don't want to miss the fun .i'm thinking of handing my letter of dissociation on the night of the committee.do you think this is a good idea?.

as i said i have already made my mind up.

The announcement is still the same and they will tell "everyone" you were disfellowshipped for apostasy regardless of a last minute DA.

If you WANT to attend then have fun. Why not in the meantime start writing to everyone you know (EXCEPT the elders) telling them why you are disassociating - before the announcement.

If you really want to yank their chains then don't give them a letter of DA - just appeal in writing six days after they tell you you are DF'd and include a paragraph telling them you are consulting a lawyer to look into the possibility of suing personally any who serve on the committees especially the person who announces it. Great fun.

This will buy you a few more days/couple of weeks while they consult the branch and let you send yet another letter to all your contacts about how you are being hounded and conspired against by false witnesses and how they should contact jwfacts.

Personally, if I wanted to go out with a bang then I would ignore their request for a JC and just start telling "everyone else" in writing (put your name but don't sign the letter) you are leaving due to disgusting child abuse cover ups and false prophecies about the generation!

Outlines for the 2019 Circuit Assemblies

next month begins the new service year (2019), a month of "excitement" for jws as they await circuit assemblies, annual meeting, new circuit overseer talks etc... roughly translated to "more of the same".. just curious as to whether the talk outlines for the two 2019 circuit assemblies are available in english/spanish yet.

i've not been able to find any online.

When I stood in front of the CoBE and his sidekick and told them about my concerns at the child abuse and the findings of the ARC and asked him whether he had seen any of it (the ARC) he admitted he had "a little bit" and he asked me whether I had seen the investigation into the Catholic Church and how it was "much worse".

I said I expect it of false religion (name), but aren't we supposed to be the one true religion? We (jw's) seem to have more cases proportionately than the Catholics!

He rambled on about imperfect men and so I said "well I'm an imperfect man too - perhaps you'd like to cut me some slack and leave me alone?" and I walked away.

Funnily he has never tried to engage me again - always sending his sidekick who has finally given up.

for shits and grins, i looked at an online sunday meeting a few days ago on youtube.

i was in disbelieve on just how silly everything looks with the watchtower reader reading from his little iphone and the watchtower conductor holding up his iphone to ask the questions.

then the conductor asked the reader to read a bible verse and of course, he reads from his little phone.

Yes Joe, when I was standing in for the school overseer around 2010 it was a time of change and I counselled a brother that it was better to use the bible than his new fangled smartphone because the older ones listening would feel more comfortable hearing God's word read the way it had been for hundreds of years.

No doubt it's the other way round now!
