  How do you feel about the expression "The Truth"?

  it's amazing how the expression "the truth" has become such an ingrained term used by witnesses.. "we have 'the truth'".

  "is he 'in the truth'?".

  most here have found out so many facts about the organisation, and felt the effects of being "gut-punched" as we realised these facts.. so how do you feel about the expression "the truth" now?.

  Im sick of my life

  sorry but i really feel like i need to rant right now.

  recently my dad was made an elder so my family has been doing a lot more "theocratic" activities lately.

  every morning i wake up and put on my itchy dress and stupid makeup and heels and then pretend that i love what i'm doing and that everybody is my friend when in reality i feel horrible and all the other teenage girls at my hall hate me for some reason.

  Hey Black Wolf, I can relate to how you feel.

  You know what I've told you in the past. Put your life plan together. This is a temporary situation you're in until you become an adult.

  Maybe put a vision board together and keep it in your room to remind you every day what your dreams are and that you are going to go for them. You said you want to go to College... well you know what I'm going to say. Just Do It!

  Is it possible for you to get a part-time job? That's what I did. I baby sat and worked in town at the variety store and later the grocery store. I got too busy with life things.

  When my Mom pushed me to go out in Field Circus, I asked her to show me the scriptures that specifically mention handing out Watchtower and Awake! magazines as the definition of 'works'. She could not and it ticked her off.

  As for getting baptized, she actually felt we needed to be adults and used Jesus as the example. He was a grown man before be got baptized. Maybe you could use this.

  Would a loving creator give humans the gift of free will?

  they say ignorance is bliss... well, i wish that god did not give adam free will.

  i am ok to not have free will if it means i will live forever in perfect paradisiac conditions.it has been explained that free will is a gift from god.

  out at the mall with mrs. otwo, she sees a shirt on the rack that was marked down from $25 to just $4.

  she holds it up and says, "should i buy this as a workout shirt?".

  i tell her "no, because as soon as you figure out what it means, you won't wear it anymore.

  "Deck the Halls with boughs of holly...."

  When I was a kid I used to draw holly on things when winter time came. My Mom told me I shouldn't do that as it is what the Pagans used to decorate for Yule.

  I loved drawing holly. It was so easy.

  Side note: Pagans still use holly today so the 'used to' was an indication my Mom was unaware that Pagans still exist today. Which says she was under the misguided notion that at some point they were all wiped out. Um, nope. They just went silent/underground/into stealth mode.

  Alan Rickman's Passing

  alan rickman, best known to my generation as prof. severus snape from the harry potter film franchise, has passed away due to cancer at the age of 69.. growing up with a witness mother, anything related to science fiction and fantasy was looked down upon, so, naturally, i was a rebel rebel (oh david bowie...).. just wanted to let any potterheads know the news and that even if you feel like you'll never be free of the deadly watchtower, you're not alone and there's hope.. always..

  Am saddened to hear of this. Kind of eerie that he too passed away from cancer at 69... just like Bowie.

  we now have a new co. he started in september and his first visit to our congo was a little while ago.

  Back in 2010, my Dad told me that the CO was coming. I said "Oh? And what does he do?"

  Dad said "He comes to stir up trouble."

  the girl next door... that Simon's quote about the child molester at the door and a child answering is spot on. I basically said the same thing to my Father about 6+ years ago. He had no comeback. Just the silence and deer-in-the-headlights look.

  Jehovah's Witnesses are a religion for the young. When one gets old and no longer able to witness, one becomes useless to this performance based group. Can't you just feel the love?

  Once again, this religion is not following Biblical scripture:

  Psalm 71:9 (ESV) : "Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent. "

  Reasons for Stagnation in Growth. AKA YearBook Numbers!

  so why has the growth flatlined?

  why is less time spent in the ministry?

  why have aux pios droped by 1/3rd?.

I was just going over the yearbook stats to show the situation and the importance of being a real teacher. OMG people were stunned. Its really like they are drones, they were not even aware of the stats in the yearbook that they all love so much.

  I really don't think a lot of diehard JWs do math. As a teenager I saw that their claims did not add up. I suspect a lot of JWs just don't do the thought processing required.
